WWE Raw continues. Drew McIntyre will be inserting himself into the VIP Lounge later on but first, Charlotte Flair says she did not lose at TakeOver: In Your House, not pinned or made to submit. She was raised to follow the rule that to be the woman you beat the woman. But she accomplished her goal, she elevated the title and the NXT brand and she main evented TakeOver, now she’s main eventing Raw. Asuka dances in front of her. Flair gets upset and asks if she ever takes anything seriously. Asuka says she does and slaps her across the face. Angel Garza and Andrade argue backstage. Zelina Vega appears, holding her neck. Andrade asks if she’s okay. She points and demands they just get going, clearly angry but not saying anything.
Kurt Angle talks about the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever this Sunday. Says he thinks chemistry might be the most important thing going into a great wrestling match. Sometimes when two men step in the ring it just comes together like that. He talks about a few people who had great chemistry and claims Edge has that with Randy. He says he doesn’t envy either of them for having the pressure they have on them right now. Says he picks Edge to win as he just can’t pick against a Hall of Famer.
Backstage the Viking Raiders ask Drew McIntyre if they finally want to join the raid. McIntyre says he has been giving it serious consideration, talks up what a ladies man Ivar is, Erik not so much. He does hope the two of them beat up Lashley and MVP tonight, has a celebration planned. And later on we have a VIP Lounge with Bobby Lashley, says you never know what surprise may happen.
After a commercial break, MVP is in the ring and puts over Lashley, claims he has the single most devastating move in all of WWE… but instead Drew McIntyre comes out and they joke like MVP was actually talking about him. Drew says after the past few weeks he was concerned the two of them weren’t friends anymore but he sees they’re still cool after that introduction but he did forget to call him the WWE Champion.
MVP says they are not friends and asks why he’s here. McIntyre says he doesn’t want to spread rumors, he heard Lana and Lashley had a little disagreement backstage. He wants to let MVP finish talking about his Claymore. MVP says he was talking about Lashley and his Full Nelson, which he’ll use to take his WWE Championship at Backlash. McIntyre admits that he’s still feeling the Full Nelson from last week and MVP can’t understand that but he does understand the Claymore. Says that’s why MVP has been hiding behind Lashley.
MVP says he never hides behind anybody, this is just part of his business plan and the plan coincides with Lashley beating him at Backlash. McIntyre asks if MVP is his Yoda, teaching him all the secrets to the 0 world titles he’s ever won. Says this has dragged on too long so he wants to give the countdown. But after 2, Lashley slides into the ring! McIntyre tells Bobby the only way he’ll get the title is to take it off his cold dead hands… MVP tries to attack from behind but McIntyre with a Glasgow Kiss lays him out! Now out come the Viking Raiders for this match against the weakened heels and just to back them up further the Street Profits are also here and watching.
