WWE Monday Night Raw continues. Rob Gronkowski is being filmed by some buddy of his for a TikTok dance. But R-Truth is disguised as a garderner and the guy turns out to have a ref shirt, Truth rolls Gronk up and gets the title. Now we have Nia Jax vs. Kairi Sane. This match has been much discussed…
Nia Jax vs. Kairi Sane
Nia of course takes the immediate advantage, gets her with a forearm. Tosses her by the hair. Kairi with a Piggyback Sleeper, takes her by surprise! Nia actually fades and goes down to the mat! But Sane slips off of her, hits a few axe kicks to the shoulder to not a whole lot of selling… Kairi with a spinning backfist to the face! Sane goes up top, Nia cuts her off with a headbutt! Pulls her off the top rope, wants a scoop slam but Sane counters with a Tornado DDT! Nearfall. Gets the ‘fans’ to clap along, Kairi with the Sliding D! Goes up top, pats the elbow. Nia rolls out of the ring to avoid the InSane Elbow. As she goes around the ring, Sane tries to take her off guard with a baseball slide but Jax catches her, pulls her out to the floor and drives her facefirst into the steel steps. Immediately the ref is checking on her. Some crowd shots to try and cover for the apparent blood, and I’m guessing some camera cuts as well, really can’t see any color. Nia back into the ring, leg drop for the victory.
Winner: Nia Jax
Kairi is laying pretty much motionless as Asuka rushes the ring and stares Nia down. After a few moments, Nia leaves the ring and Asuka’s breathing heavy for some reason.
I can’t imagine this was going much longer anyway but yeah, clearly heavily edited. I hope Kairi’s okay, she’s built up quite the history of injuries at this rate. She sure doesn’t need another concussion in particular, once those become a trend for you there’s pretty much no going back.
We’ve had a big slew of recaps on this show, most of it just highlighting what happened the week prior. This continues as we see a chunk of Edge’s promo. This too makes it kinda clear this was taped after they had already filmed for three hours, it’s just kind of a lot of filler.
