Kayden Carter came to the aid of Kacy Catanzaro last week, after she would lose to Dakota Kai and be beat down by both Kai & her bodyguard of Raquel Gonzalez. Carter tried to even the odds, but wouldn’t fair too well. This week, she gets a shot at Kai herself, with Catanzaro in her corner to help hold off Big Momma Cool herself.
Kayden Carter Comes Out Like A House Of Fire
Carter would start things quick taking Kai to the mat quickly. Kai would look to get some distance, but Carter would springboard off the bottom rope into a roundhouse kick. Rolling out of the ring, Kai would catch her breath as Gonzalez would get in the face of Carter, allowing her partner to slip behind and take advantage with a quick kick to the face. Carter would dodge, but Kai would head in the ring and kick her on the apron before dragging her in for a near fall. Not one to quit, Carter would come back with a Victory Roll, before hitting a kick of her own.
Another kick would send Carter into the corner, but as Kai ran in, she’d be sent to the apron. Carter would pull Kai into a piledriver like move, but a distraction from Gonzalez would allow Kai to take control, despite Catazaro diving in to help. Kai would lock in a submission in the middle of the ring, forcing Carter to tap out, having no chance to reach the ropes to break this hold.
Dakota Kai Might Be Unstoppable
Even with backup on their side, Dakota Kai continues to dominante every opponent who enters the ring with her. She has clear eyes on the NXT Women’s Championship, held by Io Shirai. Her biggest rival Tegan Nox could also leave tonights show with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championhips, which would give her a goal to presue with Gonzalez. The only loss she faced recently was at NXT Takeover: In Your House, after a slight miscommunication with Gonalez. Will she soon find gold around her waist for the first time in NXT? Will Tegan Nox do everything she can to prevent this from happening? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
