One of the best parts of the NXT Women’s Division is their deep undercard, and with Io Shirai on top now, everyone is hungry to get to the top. This includes both Xia Li & Aliyah, who renew their issues on this night. With Robert Stone in shambles at ringside, Aliyah would go check on him and drag him to her corner, seeming to choose him as her manager. Could Aliyah finally prove she is a worthy client and get her first win in months?
Aliyah Finally Gets Robert Stone Help, In An Unexpected Way
Action would start fast, with Aliyah getting the upper-hand with an armdrag before hitting a Lou Thesz Press. Xia Li would take control with her lethal strikes, forcing Aliyah into the corner. An attempted suplex from the top rope would end with Aliyah on her feet, who hit a nice Northern Lights Suplex. A quick kick to the head from Xia Li would drop Aliyah, giving her full control of this match.
Stone would get up on the apron, puke all over the ring with Xia Li barely dodging. His constant drinking finally got the better of him. This would allow Aliyah to roll up Xia Li with a quick rollup. After grabbing Robert Stone to see if he’s okay, he’d fall fast first off the apron, and Aliyah would help her to the backstage area. This is clearly the start of a beautiful partnership.
Together At Last
Aliyah has long needed someone to help her find her way within WWE, and Robert Stone could be exactly that. He had no interest in her when he was paired with Chelsea Green, but after she dumped him; he became more than desperate. Aliyah has spent weeks trying to get his attention, and a win. Tonight she got both of those things. If Stone will remember either of those things, being the drunkard that Sheamus has accused Jeff Hardy of being, is a different story. This is the best chance she has of being a star, and Stone has a chance of controlling this client.
