The North were the longest reigning champions in Impact Wrestling but lost it pretty quickly to The Motor City Machine Guns. This has got us speculating, will The North leave Impact after this? It’s hard to think, what can the longest reigning Tag Team in a company do after losing their belts?
In Impact Wrestling, The North have pretty much done everything. They could have a decent future feud with new Tag Teams like the Good Brother and maybe Heath Slater and Rhyno if they become a Tag Team in the future but apart from that, there’s not much else to do.
They could break up.
It could be that they’ll break up and have a singles run. This would make them feel very fresh. It would make a lot of sense if they started at the X-division Championship to get used to them by themselves before going any higher than that.
Looking at the roster though, there currently aren’t many Tag Teams around. That being said, the Good Brothers have joined the roster and it looks like a new Tag Team will be made from the new wrestlers. So it could come pretty stacked soon. Only time will tell what happens to The North next.
There is now a good place where Tag Team wrestling is known as the best in the world.
AEW uses the tagline of having the best Tag Teams in the world. Looking at their Tag Team roster, they’re not far off. With arguably, the company having the biggest focus on Tag Team wrestlers, some already have some of the best Tag Team matches this year.
If they were to leave Impact Wrestling. AEW seems like the best place for them to go. With their distinct wrestling style, they could make a great fit for the AEW Tag Team roster. They could even bring something different to the roster and freshen it up slightly.
