CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers here with a throwback spoiler from September 26, 2017 and features a Forrester civil war on Eric Forrester (John McCook)’s happiest day.
It started because Eric fell in love with the wrong woman, the one most of the show’s characters hate more than anything — Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer).
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye)’s hate for Quinn runs so deep that he’s allowed it and his pettiness to nearly hurt Forrester Creations and injure his father. It’s one of the few things that we often forget about the character since Thorsten Kaye took over from Ronn Moss because Thorsten plays him not quite as much of a playboy as Ronn did. At least, in CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers opinion.

It’s a testament to how well both have played the role, with the current Ridge demonstrating his old selfishness on rarer occasions. This makes them a surprise and reminds us he’s not a huggable, loveable guy as much as we may think her is.
Power play
In this episode from September 26, 2017, Ridge’s pettiness took things to a new level when he convinced majority of the Forrester family to boycott Eric and Quinn’s wedding, claiming that Eric wouldn’t get married if they weren’t there.
In short, he weighed Eric’s love for his family against his love for the woman than had changed his life for the better.
Ridge if one heck of a son.
There were some cracks in the unity, especially from Thorne Forrester (Ingo Rademacher), who had agreed to be his father’s best man.
The wedding must go on
A heartbroken Eric waited for anyone to arrive, and it got to the point where Quinn told him he didn’t have to marry her. He refused, and explained that whether his family wanted to believe it or not, she had changed his life for the better, and she deserved to be at his side as his wife.
Quinn agreed, but it was clear how much she loved Eric and she’s shown that regularly since. With the ceremony ready to commence, Reverend Murphy (Perez Hilton) took his place. The only Forrester in attendance was Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer).
After the ceremony, Ashley returned to Forrester Creations where the rest of the family was gathered. Once there, it was obvious to Ridge and everyone that had chosen poorly when Ashley asked them how they felt for abandoning Eric, who was always there for them, and breaking his heart.
This is one of those episodes we need to see from time to time to remind us what’s important and to help us check our egos before they get out of hand. An awesome episode, it’s definitely deserving of it’s place in this theme week.
