CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers loves nothing more than a wedding to close out a week of fan favorites, but it also ends on a cliffhanger.
Oops. Guess we shouldn’t have said that, but then where’s the fun in keeping it to ourselves? It’s part of our throwback spoiler we’re sharing, so we just jumped the gun a little bit.
On the plus side, we do get to see an awesome episode where Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) walk down the aisle.
More than that, we also get to see Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) in one of his finer moments as he put the past behind him and made amends to Hilary.
It’s a pretty cool moment and one fitting the grander scheme of Neil wanting his son and former lover to be happy together.
Whether we saw this before for not, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers think it would be smart for us to grab some comfort foods and tissues for this little gem coming to us from August 14, 2015.

The past
This is a huge moment for Hilary after everything she put the Winters through. She took great pleasure in trying to push Neil off the wagon, took him as he lover despite having feelings for Devon, and just made their lives miserable.
What she did was unforgivable for many people, but that’s the benefit of soap operas. It’s been standard procedure on these shows to have characters do something reprehensible and work to redeem themselves.
It’s a cool way to show that many can find their way no matter what they’ve done if given a chance, but it’s also a slippery slope with topics like rape, drugging others, and others come up.
Hillary was guilty of those as well, and it’s a testament to Neil that he worked to forgive her to give her a new slate.
He had every chance to do the opposite, and when he spoke up, interrupting the official doing the ceremony, but he didn’t.
Instead, he took the high road and told her she looked beautiful, but it feels like he thought about doing it.
In the end, everything seemed to work out to the benefit of all those in attendance until the interruption.
