CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with a new throwback spoiler ready to go for another episode in Y&R’s Summer Fun theme week. This one comes to us from June 7, 2001 and features Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) taking Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) on a romantic getaway to spend some quality time together, as well as Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson)’s struggle to save their marriage while Isabella Williams (Eva Longoria) works to push them further apart.
This is one they showed us recently and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers find it hard to believe they can only repeat repeats when there’s four decades plus of episodes to pull from. But then, we suppose it’s something else we’ll have to grow accustomed to like we have the lack of continuity that’s driven so many of us batty over the last few weeks.
Still, it’s nice to have something besides talk shows and game shows on, but would it really hurt them to put a string of episodes together so we can see a while storyline.

The wedge
Christine and Paul had been having a difficult times, and Isabella stepped right into the breach to widen it. In this case, Christine needed to talk to Paul, but Isabella answered instead. Seeing the chance to do more damage, Isabella mocked Christine by pointing out how she was currently living with Paul and Christine wasn’t.
By this time, Paul had finished his shower and took over the phone call. When nothing was resolved and he hung up, he informed Isabella that in order to save his marriage, he’d make arrangements for her to live elsewhere.
So much for Isabella’s plans.
Arabian escape
Nick took Sharon out to the desert where a large tent had been set up. Once inside, she discovered the lavish furnishings Nick had set up for them. Once there in dressed in Arabian dress, the two settled in for their romantic getaway.
It’s a hobby the Newman men have developed over the years to keep the women in their lives on their toes and to get themselves out of trouble.
It’s an important skill to have, and one many of us would love to have.
