Going through the now regular routine of forcing ring announcer David Penzer to give him a special introduction, Moose also added the phrase “best wrestler in the world” much to the officials’ and Josh Mathews’ chagrin.

Afterwards, Moose brutalized Crazzy Steve throughout their match, including holding him by the legs and swinging him head first into the steel ring steps. Despite bleeding from his mouth, Steve continued to fight back, and made Moose’s life miserable despite never getting more than a one count of any pin attempts.
In fact, this match mirrored Mosses’ matches of late, where he spends a good deal of time relaxing while his opponent if outside the ring. He’d head out to break the count out, inflict more punishment to send a message, then eventually throw his opponent back into the ring.
Even with the methodical approach, the match was still entertaining as Steve managed to stun Moose a couple of times, but it ended when Moose caught him in mid air and threw Steve across the ring with a Fallaway Slam. Moose then hit the Lights Out Spear for the win.
Sending a message
With the match over, Moose attacked Steve again, hammering away on him until officials, including Tommy Dreamer, came out. Moose seemed to back away, then attacked Dreamer from behind and beat him down before finally leaving the ring.
Afterwards, Dreamer gave one of the best promos we’ve seen in a while where he called Moose a waste of talent, and pointing out he had wasn’t good enough to win his own championship, but steal one that isn’t real. He also called him nothing more than a footnote in NFL and professional wrestling history.
He challenged Moose to “be a locker room leader, not a locker room cancer.”

Ouch. That’s going to leave a mark.
Moose later responded that it was slander, and demanded a public apology from Dreamer or he’d sue Dreamer and Impact Wrestling.
While it’s hard to see Tommy Dreamer be a legitimate threat to Moose, if/when they do face off, it should be a fun match as Dreamer will pull out all the stops to teach Moose a lesson and try to get him to wake up. Will it work, or will it blow up in Dreamer’s face? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
Either way, things are going to get interesting between the two going forward.
