The landscape of NXT is different now. Following the Great American Bash, we have a new top champion, and everyone wants a piece of Keith Lee. We could see the next contender show themself this week. Let’s take a look at what was announced for NXT this week.
William Regal Has Something To Say
The biggest story going into tonight, is what will William Regal say during his planned huge announcement? From a tweet earlier today, it seems like he might be stepping down as NXT General Manager.
“Serving as the General Manager of WWE NXT has been an incredible honor. To see the men and women of this brand over the last couple of months has been inspiring and invigorating. Tonight’s major announcement will be yet another step forward for WWE NXT.”
Something huge is going to happen, and it could be the end of the best General Manager in WWE today.
Dominic Dijakovic vs. Karrion Kross
Last week, Keith Lee took the fight to Dominic Dijakovic in his first title defense, which might bleed into his second. Dijakovic would be attacked backstage by Karrion Kross, setting this match. Kross has been unstoppable so far, having demolished both Tomassao Ciampa & Bronson Reed, in a combined 7 minutes of ring time.
Dijakovic is a powerful force, but Kross is something different entirely. Kross has made it clear he wants both of Keith Lee’s titles, and destroying his best friend? That’s a fine way to get in the champs head.
Killian Dain vs. Dexter Lumis
Two weeks ago, Killian Dain would have coffee thrown at him by Robert Stone. This was due to him being run down by Shotzi Blackheart in her tank, so Stone would look to apologize to Dain. This was around the time when we’d see Dexter Lumis’s latest masterpiece, which included a drawing of Dain.
Dain was pissed off by this, and demanded Stone get him a match with Lumis. Using his connections, this match is official, and should be a damn fine heavyweight clash.
