Hello and welcome to this week’s WWE Raw Results and Recap Live!
This week looks to be a good one as the Raw Women’s Championship will finally be settled, and Drew McIntyre will name his stipulation for his match with Dolph Ziggler.
Segment 1
Randy Orton names his desire to reclaim the WWE Championship, marking Drew McIntyre as his next target.
Nia Jaz came out, but Shayna Baszler interupted her and a fight ensued. Guess this is our first match of the night.
Segment 2
Triple Threat Match – Viking Raiders vs. Andrade and Angel Garza vs. Ricochet and Cedric Alexander.
Looks like they threw us a curve ball. The Street Profits were in the ring, talking about the upcoming three team tag team match. They’ll be our ring announcers.
Andrade and Angel Garza cleared the ring before the bell rang as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
The match was chaso from the beginning, as Andrade and Garza remained outside the ring before being dragged into the competion.
At commercial, the Viking Raiders stood alone in the ring.
Segment 4
A chaotic and exciting match ended when Garza hit Alexander with his Wings Clipper for the pin.
Andrade and Angel Garza will face the Street Profits at SummerSlam.
Segment 5
After a brief delay, we got Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler.
The match ended in less than a minute as Baszler was dumped out of the ring and a double counout ended the match, but not the brawl.
Segment 6
Seth Rollins called Dominic Mysterio out to the ring to talk peacefully, but Dominic attacked him.
Aleister Black came to Dominic’s aid, but Murphy injured Black’s eye on the ring steps befoe Dominic chased Rollins and Murphy away with a kendo stick.
Segment 7
MVP had Mustaka Ali on the VIP Lounge, but couldn’t close the deal.
R-Truth snuck in and nearly pinned Benjamin to win the 24/7 Championship, but he had to take off before they nabbed him. He may try again later tonight.
Segment 8
Mustafa Ali vs. Bobby Lashley
Lashley easily dominated, but the match was “paused” when Akira Tozawa nearly pinned Benjamin outside the ring for the 24/7 Championship.
The Hurt Business, including Lashley, took out a bunch of ninjas before Ali hit with a suicide dive in Lashley’s back and sent him into the barricade before the commerical break.
Segment 9
Ali put up a great fight and had a chance, but Lashley slapped on a full nelson for the submission win.
Segment 10
Raw Women’s Championship Match – Asuka (c) vs. Sasha Banks.
We were treated to a recap and the Golden Role Models claiming Stephanie McMahon is jealous and a bully because they won the company.
An interesting note is that Kairi Sane came out with Asuka despite it being announced that last week was he final taped Raw. Guess there was a miscommunication somewhere.
Before the commerical and as the bell rang, Sane chased Bayley to the backstage area.
Segment 11
Banks took control early, then did her best flopping attempt when the referee caught her about to his Asuka with a title belt.
Asuka hit with a kick as we headed to commercial.
Segment 12
A great match ended when Bayley beating the stuffing out of Sane backstage played on the titantron and Asuka ran to help her friend.
Banks won by count out.
We knew this would probably happen, but this is such a garbage ending.
Segment 13
Murphy vs. Humberto Carrillo
A decent match saw them exchange blows before Murphy hit with a Murphy’s Law for the win.
We saw McIntyre and Mark Henry chatting backstage. It’s a hunch, but maybe Orton’s going to attack Henry to send a message to McIntyre?
Segment 14
First, McIntyre accepted Randy Orton’s challenge.
And McIntyre’s stipulation is the match is extreme Rules for both of them.
Segment 15
Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler
McIntyre dominated early, but Ziggler even the playing field with a low blow and they continued exchanging shots as we went to commercial.
Segment 16
McIntyre Claymored Ziggler through a table for the pin and to end a solid but brutal match.
Randy Orton then his McIntyre with an RKO while McIntyre celebrated, then stood over him holding the WWE Championship belt.
This was a pretty good Raw if we ignore the ended of Asuka and Sasha Banks’ match.
