We were treated to a recap of Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre’s Extreme Rules match, and then we saw McIntyre and Mark Henry chatting backstage.
Maybe Henry will be Orton’s next target to send a message to McIntyre?
Back to the ring following commercial, McIntyre accepted Randy Orton’s challenge and said he’s not going to compare resumes. He said Orton was the biggest challenge to his championship.
McIntyre’s started to say what his stipulation is and Ziggler’s music played and he came out.
Ziggler went on how he waited while McIntyre talked about someone else as well as waiting a week because he’s a gentleman.
McIntyre then informed Ziggler that his Extreme Rules stipulation inspired him, so Ziggler can use tables, chairs, and everything else.
But the difference this time is, McIntyre can use them too. He then hit Ziggler in the face with his microphone as he headed to commercial.
Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler
Back from commercial, Ziggler hit McIntyre and slid out of the ring to pull a steel chair out from under the ring. McIntyre grabbed the chair from him, and Ziggler hit with a superkick.
Ziggler bounced McIntyre off the ring post and barricade a few times, but McIntyre hit with a reverse elbow.
McIntyre then tossed Ziggler into the plexiglass like a dart. McIntyre then picked up a kendo stick.
This is going to get ugly.
A couple of hits, then a toss into the barricade left Ziggler writhing in agony.
After shoving the kendo stick in Ziggler’s mouth, McIntyre threw him into the ring post, then tossed him into the ring along with a handful of chairs.
“Now it’s a party,” McIntyre said, then he pulled out a table and slid that into the ring.
Ziggler tried to grab a chair while McIntyre set a table up in the corner, but McIntyre caught him and stepped on his fingers, then hit him with a chair.
Ziggler hit with a low blow out of desperation to avoid a chair shot.
Outside the ring, Ziggler found his own kendo stick and he used it as effectively as McIntyre did.
Ziggler bounced his head off the plexiglass, but his next strike was caught by McIntyre.
Ziggler countered a strike with a shot to McIntyre’s knee. McIntyre then tossed Ziggler on the apron.
Ziggler took a running start and leaped, but Mcintyre caught him and ran the length of the floor before driving him through the time keeper’s area.
McIntyre puts it away
WWE Raw Results and Recap returned from commercial to find both men were still down.
McIntyre got to his feet first, and threw Ziggler into the ring.
After exchanging blows in the ring, McIntyre hit with a clothesling and a pair of Belly-to-belly suplexes.
He then hit from the top rope and flipped up, but Ziggler countered with a kick to the knee and hitting with the Famouser.
McIntyre caught Ziggler on the top rope, and softened him up with a few hard blows. McIntyre then followed it up with a superplex.
The impact hurt both men, ant Ziggler countered a Claymore with a Zig-Zag for a near pinfall.
McIntyre then Claymored Ziggler through the table her set up in the corner for the pin.
While he was celebrating, Orton came out and his McIntyre with an RKO and laid the belt on the mat to hold it around his waist as he stood over McIntyre.
This was a pretty good match and a brutal one at that.
Overall, this was a pretty good show as long as we ignore the ending of Asuka and Sasha Banks’ match.
