WWE Smackdown is underway and it looks like they have a new format in mind as everyone cuts a promo for their match or segment later on. Looks like we’re in for a fun night As AJ Styles gets us started by proclaiming he’s defending his Intercontinental Championship against Matt Riddle. Unlike last time, there is no surprise.

Matt Riddle responded by saying there was no fluke last time, and asked if AJ stood for “Arogant Jackass” and when he wins he will be the “Bro that runs the show.”

Daniel Bryan said Riddle and Styles will tear the house down, and he thinks there’ll be a new champion.

Alexa Bliss promoed having a special guest on A Moment of Bliss.

Miz and Morrison cut a promo where John Morrison will face Braun Strowman. Morrison admitted he’s “freaking terrified.

Strowman replied Horror Show starts tonight and he hopes Bray Wyatt is watching.

Cesar and Shinsuke Nakamura cut a promo saying At Extreme Rule they’ll win the Smackdown Tag Team Championship, and Cesaro asked whether “the match will be a steel cage or tables match” and said after he eats Bug E tonight it’ll be their choice.

Kofi Kingston and Big E replied in typical fashion, promising they won’t lose on Sunday and Cesaro will lost to Big E.

Big E vs. Cesaro – Winner Names Stipulation for Extreme Rules

The match started out with Big E leveling Cesaro with a clothesline, and the match headed outside the ring, where Big He drove Cesaro into the steps, then speared him into the ring post.

Cesaro dodged another spear attempt in the ring and Big E hit the ringpost, and was then pushed out to the floor.

Cesaro hit with a double ax handle off the ropes for a near pin.

Big E regained momentum after catching Cesaro off the rope and hit with three belly to belly suplexes and followed them with a splash, but didn’t go for the pin. This may come back to haunt him later.

Big E worked Cesaro over on the ring apron, concluding with a splash as we went to commercial

    Teamwork wins

WWE Smackdown returned from commercial with Cesaro in control of the match and back in the ring.

Big E charged Cesaro for a spear in the ropes, but Cesaro countered with a Big Boot, then hit with a forearm off the ropes for a near pinfall.

Cesaro countered a submission with a spin and then sharpshooter, but Bug E counter. Cesaro then locked in a crossface and Nakamura knocked out Kingston outside the ring.

Big E powered Cesaro up, but Cesaro grabbed the ropes and while the referee was distracted, Nakamura hit Big E with a kick, and Cesaro hit with a Neutralizer for the pin and win.

After the match, Cesaro and Nakamura got a table out, but Kingston took them both out with a dive, then Big E set Cesaro up on the table. But before Kingston could repay Cesaro for last week, Nakamura pulled Cesaro off and they headed backstage.

Speaking of WWE Smackdown backstage, King Corbin was interviewed about his relationship with Matt Riddle and how he thinks he’ll fair in the match. He said it will be quick and decisive and Styles will remain champion.

He admitted Riddle is ambitious, but he’s also playing with fire for going after him and Styles.

    Match stipulation decided

WWE Smackdown returned from commercial break with Cesaro and Nakamura backstage celebrating that they’ll finally get the respect they deserve.

They decided against a steel cage match and chose a table match.
