In something no one could have predicted five years ago, AJ Styles is one of the biggest names in all of WWE. He’s a multiple time WWE Champion, and the current Intercontinental Champion, even having gotten the honour of being the final opponent of The Undertaker. But now, there is something, or someone pulling him back towards Impact Wrestling.
Following their release back in April, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson made their way to Impact Wrestling, alongside a deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling. They are a massive boon to their lacking tag team division, who alongside a returning Motor City Machine Guns boosted the division massively. However, they also want their old ally and leader back with them.
Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows Want AJ Styles To Join Them
AJ Styles is one of the most important men in Impact Wrestling history, easily one of their biggest stars. During a Twitch Stream, he would talk about Gallows & Anderson wanting him to return.
“I don’t know what to think about that; you guys know how I feel about that. Yeah, Gallows and Anderson are trying to get me back in Impact Wrestling is what they said. Never say never but I also have said that I would like to finish my career in the WWE. So, we will see. Not to say that they don’t have a lot going on right now. Man, they’ve got some strong talent. Not that they didn’t have good talent before, but they’ve upped it just a little bit more.”
Styles is likely going to get a major backstage role in WWE following his eventual retirement, making a jump back to Impact Wrestling incredibly unlikely. If he did go back however, it would be a massive boost to the Impact Wrestling main event scene. He’d be by far their biggest name, and would likely win the Impact Wrestling Heavyweight Championship instantly.
We will likely only see AJ Styles go back for one night, to accept a Hall Of Fame induction. The Impact Wrestling Hall Of Fame is a slow moving one, but Styles belongs there more than anyone else.
