At the moment, after Raw, the future does look promising with a match set up with the top heel in the business; Randy Orton. That being said, there are two setbacks that have already happened. Even though Keith Lee himself has mentioned these are small setbacks.
This being the new outfit and the changed theme tune. We’ll give him the benefit of the doubt here and think that he’s right.
He is already in the main event but…
The debut of Keith Lee was solid; he got put over by commentary. Even though he did technically lose through DQ, it’s still a loss. Also, do you remember how KO debuted? Beating John Cena and now he is the host of his own show.
Keith Lee does have a rematch with Randy Orton and this does look like it could be leading up to a match with Keith Lee Vs. Drew McIntyre or a triple threat. There is still the chance that Keith Lee loses to Randy Orton.
We have no clue how this is going to go. It looks like Keith Lee is going to shoot right into the championship picture and win. If this does happen and he has a long run like Adam Cole did in NXT. Keith Lee could actually be the next Legend that is limitless.
Could it be too quick?
WWE aren’t very good at long time bookings, don’t get me wrong, sometimes they shine. Then there’s all the information that comes out that they make decisions on the day. That proves kind of how bad their storytelling is. This may be why Keith Lee pushed straight to the top, could it be a bit too quick?
Yes, he shouldn’t go straight to the bottom of the pack like a lot of NXT stars. He should have perhaps gone up against Seth Rollins or Hurt Business or even Rey Mysterio . Even though Randy Orton is a good stepping stone to Drew McIntyre. If it just had a bit more of build and maybe last till Wrestlemania, it could have just made this a better story throughout.
