Tony Nese has been trying to change, become a better person and better wrestler. He’s been trying to become close friends with Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, and work his way back to the Cruiserweight Championship. Tonight, he’d be faced with Jake Atlas, a man whose future is brighter than the WWE Thunderdome. Can Nese get the win?
Jake Atlas Out Wrestles Nese
Atlas would take the early advantage with the opening lockup, getting a side headlock and forcing Nese onto the mat. Nese would counter out with a headscissors, but end up right back in the hold. Some forearm rubs to the face would help Nese finally get up and get moving.
Both men thrive with a quick pace, but Jake Atlas managed to get the upper hand with a nice armdrag, hurricanrana and a running dropkick! Atlas wouldn’t get the pinfall, but he’d apply a cravate to isolate Nese in the middle of the ring. The second Nese looked like he was gonna break free? An armdrag into a quick pinfall would get a near fall. Nese would finally drop Atlas with a back suplex and get control.
Nese would run Atlas over with a back elbow, before applying a neck crank. Atlas would fight up to his feet, but would be fought off with some knees. Nese would throw Atlas off the ropes, who would come back with a sunset flip, allowing Nese to roll through and nail a huge spin kick to the face for a very close fall.
Tony Nese Finds His Aggression
Atlas would find his way back to his feet, only to be thrown back to the mat. Some heavy strikes would just wake Atlas up, and would rock Nese with a few big elbow strikes, before hitting the springboard blockbuster to get a near fall.
Atlas would go for a sunset flip over the top rope, only for Nese to hold onto the ropes and stop it, before kicking Atlas in the side of the head. A springboard moonsault would get a near fall, with him looking better than ever at this point. They would trade strikes in the middle of the ring with Atlas winning when he’d send Nese over the top rope and wipe him out with a dive.
Nese would be sent back into the ring to try for the Rainbow DDT, but Nese rolled to the apron. He’d rock Atlas with a shot, but get distracted by Drew Gulak on commentary, allowing Atlas to roll him up for the win.
Nese would snap following this loss, and would beat Atlas down and nail the Running Nese without hesitation. No more Mr. Nice Nese, and he’d stare down his former friend Drew Gulak before saying 205 Live is Garbage without Tony Nese before marching off.
