After a recap of Dominik Mysterio and Seth Rollins’ match at SummerSlam, they were approached backstage and Rey was asked about the conflicting emotions he felt during Dominik’s match.
Rey answered that no mater what happens, he’s proud of his son.
He added that Dominik entered the ring against one of the most dangerous wrestlers in the world and showed what he’s worth.
After Dominik said how he drew strength from his mother and father, Rey said that’s something Rollins doesn’t understand, and someday he may learn the power of family.
Rey added it’s not about winning or losing tonight, but his pride in Dominik being there and ready despite the pain he’s in.
It’s a dream Rey’s had for years to share the ring with his son.
Rey then added that Dominik is the future of WWE Raw.
Mickie James gets some revenge
And we’re back to find Lana and Natalya in the ring.
Lana started it off by saying they’re there to retire a future Hall of Famer, and she started citing how Natalya is the winningest in history and her other accomplishments.
Natalya cut her off and said she’d get into the Hall of Fame on her own, and that tonight they’ll retire the Chick with the Kick.
They called for Mickie Jame’s career highlights to play, and made a joke when the screen remained black.
James then came out and took them both out with a Chick Kick and headed back to the locker room laughing.
Raw Underground – Bobby Lashley vs. Dolph Ziggler
Shane McMahon was about to enter Raw Underground when the Hurt Business approached and demanded to be let in.
But @HEELZiggler's supposed to fight @Ivar_WWE later?!#WWERaw @fightbobby pic.twitter.com/KiuiY5eeVZ

He held the door for them, and told the guard they’re going to have a great night.
We returned from commercial with Shane commentating a match that Bobby Lashley won in seconds with a front face lock.
Lashley helped to roll the man out of the ring, not too gently, and Dolph Ziggler stepped into challenge Lashley.
After a brief grapple. Ziggler got a hold of one of Lashley’s legs and took him down, but Lashley powered out if it and took Ziggler down with a double leg take down.
A few punches and kicks later, and Ziggler poked him in the eye and slapped on a sleeper hold.
Lashley threw him off, then shoved Ziggler off the side of the ring and head first into the wall.
Without another challenger, MVP and Shelton Benjamin threw a sacrifice into the ring.
Lashley dropped that opponent with a single kick to the head, showing more flexibility than we usually see.
Guess we’re not going to see Ziggler in action the rest of the night.
