Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Results! Looks like we’re in for a fun night as Kevin Owens hosts Aleister Black on “The Kevin Owens Show” and Keith Lee makes his main roster debut.
Plus, there’s the question of what Retribution will be up to, and what’ll happen on Raw Underground.
Plenty of fun ahead.
Raw’s first night in the Thunderdome is here!
The night got started with a bang with a recap of SummerSlam, particularly Roman Reigns coming back.
Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, and Braun Strowman will sign a Triple Threat, no holds barred match for Payback on Friday. This is a recap/promo we saw a lot throughout the night.
To be honest, it felt weird to have them promoting Smackdown on Raw, but they’ve been doing that a little more here and there over the last couple of weeks.
To remind us this is Raw, Drew McIntyre came out to celebrate retaining his championship in a great match against Randy Orton at SummerSlam, not to mention an ending we didn’t expect.
It was a cool way to end things during an age where a dozen finishers a match are commonplace.
After a brief recap of his SummerSlam match with Randy Orton, he welcomed everyone to the firs Raw in the WWE Thunderdome and asked for a thumbs up and got it from many screens.
He said how he faced one of the most evil men on the planet and still has his WWE Championship. He said he pulled it off because he’s hungrier than Orton, and works harder.
He added that’s he’s “so damn proud to be WWE Champion.”
The Viper strikes
He said he knows what hard times are like and what it’s like to not know when his next paycheck is coming from.
McIntyre offered a challenge to Orton to face him tonight, and he’s hit his head off and send Orton to Claymore country.
As he left, McIntyre showed his championship for the fans on the ramp and Orton attacked him from behind.
Orton then threw him into the screen, but McIntyre fought back and their braw spilled into the backstage area.
Orton went after McIntyre’s eyes, then slammed him into the wall.
The referees tried to push Orton back, but he broke loose and punted McIntyre.
McIntyre refused help from the officials, and Orton took the opportunity to come back and hit him with another punt kick.
We came back to a recap of Orton’s attack on McIntyre before the commercial break.
They switched to a live feed backstage as McIntyre continued to refuse help, saying he’s fine.
The announcers then switched gears and promoted Keith Lee’s debut and a decent promo video played.
