WWE Raw Results and Recap came in backstage while Kevin Owens was talking with Ruby Riott and Live Morgen when Ric Flair approached him.
Flair pulled Owens aside and expressed his concerns that Owens was focusing too much on being a guidance counselor.
Owens thanked him, and explained that he had screwed people over before and wants to be a better person.
He added he wants to be what Orton could be, and Flair told him he should listen to his advice and if he worries about himself, maybe he can have a title match at SummerSlam.
Owens then told Flair that if he’s so worried, Flair should tell Orton to meet him in the ring next week.
Flair looked shocked, but like a snake would look shocked.
Nia Jax Suspended
In the ring, Nia Jax said she came out to own up to what she’d done, and a recap of her actions toward the WWE official replayed.
She said she takes to hear the millions that idolize her, and when a scrawny, undeserving runt from WWE management “steps to me, it’s my responsibility to step back.”
Since the official was in the ring with her, she offered him a match against her instead of an apology.
He said he was only there because he was told an apology was coming.
She said he’d get one after their match, and she said it was his big opportunity. She even promised to go slow.
When he tried to back out, she said she thought him being a small guy and a ginger would he’d have more fight.
She then handed him the microphone to speak his mind, so he announced she’s suspended indefinitely without pay.
She then pulled his jacket down over his arms to bin them and headbutted him. She then kicked him out of the ring while he was down, claiming he didn’t have the authority.
Jax continued to stalk the inside of the ring, furious at things working out the way that had. She’s either taking time off, or she’s going to join the new faction.
R-Truth then ran out with the “stolen” 24/7 Championship in his hands and being chased by Akira Tozawa, his ninjas, and the Hurt Business.
We’re thinking he actually tricked Benjamin and pinned him, but Benjamin doesn’t want to admit that.
24/7 Championship Triple Threat Match – Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa
The match started and Tozawa ducked out of the ring.
R-Truth went after Benjamin right off, but Benjamin turned the tables with a high knee in the corner.
Tozawa slipped into the rinf and rolled up Benjamin for a near fall while Benjamin worked over Truth.
Tozawa’s blows showed not effect on Benjamin, and Benjamin hit with a few rights, and a high kick.
Benjamin ducked a scissors kick and hit with Paydirt, but a ninja came in and was ineffectual except to get Benjamin’s attention.
One kick sent the ninja out of the ring, and the Hurt Business took out the rest of the ninjas.
In the ring, Tozawa hit R-Truth with a senton and got the pin to win, then ran off before the Hurt Business could get him.
Just like that, the Hurt Business lost all their gold.
The scenes shifted to a grungy, dimly lit MMA arena where the ring was surrounded by men slapping the mat while two men competed.
Shane McMahon announced for us to check out Raw Underground at 10PM to learn what he’s bringing to the WWE.
