WWE Raw Results and Recap found the Golden Role Models (Bayley and Sasha Banks) backstage, and a large security guard standing in the shadows outside what may be Shane McMahon’s dressing room.
Not too subtle a tease there.
WWE Results and Recap returned from commercial for an interview with Bayley and Sasha Banks.
Bayley interrupted Sarah and said she’d make it simple and say they have all the gold.
Bayley and Banks then called her interview process boring when asked if they were defending any of their championships at SummerSlam.
To spice it up, the debuted an indepth explanation of how they outsmarted Asuka and Kairi Sane last week.
Their video ended with Asuka going ballistic and saying “Revenge is very, very sweet” at the end of it.
This set them off questioning what kind of operation they’re running there when Shayna Baszler walked up to them.
Baszler pointed out how Banks had to snake her way to the champinship and how she had waited long enough. She then clocked Banks, dropping her to the floor like a bad habit.
We switched to Kevin Owens backstage as he was approached by the Iiconics (Peryton Royce and Billie Kay) about being on the Kevin Owens show. He said he’d love to have them, but his show was already booked.
Kevin Owens Show with Ruby Riott
WWE Results and Recap returned for the Kevin Owens Show.
He started it off by mentioning the return of Shane McMahon, but he doesn’t want to talk about that.
He chose instead an issue that’s been going on for months, and called out his close friend Ruby Riott.
Owens mentioned how she got emotional after beating Peyton Royce, and she explained how she’d had some rotten luck since returning.
Her singles record hasn’t been what she wanted, and the Iiconics rubbed salt in her wounds.
She was glad she finally ended the Iiconic problem and wished Liv Morgan was there to experience it with her.
Owens then said Morgan was there to Riott’s surprise, and Morgan came out.
Morgan entered the ring and Morgan admitted that Owens convinced her to listen to Riott and she wanted to hear what she had to say.
Owens then recapped how he remembered when they came to the WWE and were something special, and that they bring the best out of each other.
He explained that he had sacrificed friendships for his career, and they weren’t the right choice, so he asked Morgan to hear Riott out.
Riott explained that when she came back everything was different and Morgan was thriving.
She was afraid Morgan didn’t need her anymore after Morgan beat her twice.
She apologized for taking out her frustration on Morgan, and said her life changed forever on their debut date and asked for another chance for the Riott Squad to be stronger than it’s ever been.
Of course, the Iiconics came out, and Owens quickly said he had nothing to do with them being there.
Royce told Morgan that she needed to stay in the bathtub and Billie Kay took her shots as well.
What was pretty cool was the Iiconics’ mics kept going out, so that was a benefit.
Their mics worked enough for them to point out how they were better then Riott and Morgan.
Morgan agreed that they weren’t like the Iiconics, and that “nobody starts a riot like us.”
Owens tried to convince the Iiconics to leave, but the Iiconis continued talking trash and Owens asked for more technical difficulties for their mics.
Kay slapped him one, and when he asked if that was necessary, she slapped him again. He then asked for help form Morgan and Riott, and they went after the Iiconics.
Looks like we have a match next.
Riott Squad vs. Iiconics
WWE Raw Results and Recap returned to show someone approaching Shane McMahon’s locker room with a tray of food, only to back away when the security guard looked at him.
With Kevin Owens with the commentators, the match started with Ruby Riott and Billie Kay locking up in the ring, and Kay gained the upper hand by dropping Riott with a slam for a near pinfall.
Royce then kneed Riott in the back a couple of times and locked her in a reverse chin lock.
Riott fought out of it, but Royce pulled her down by her hair, and Kaye berated her and kicked Riott in the side.
Riott his Kay with a superkick and tagged Morgan in. Morgan then his Royce with a pair of clothesline, then a missile drop kick before the pin was saved by Kay.
Morgan then rolled up Kay for a quick pin and Royce attacked her.
But as they set Morgan up for their finisher, Riott took out Kay and Royce, then his Morgan hit Kay with a double leg sweep slam before heading backstage.
