WWE Raw Results and Recap returned from commercial to a recap of last week’s exchange between Seth Rollins and Dominic Mysterio.
Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviewed Dominic Mysterio, and asked why he continues to show up and risk his health.
He answered that it may sound crazy, but he thinks it’s understandable that his mind hasn’t been in the right place.
He said if people think he’s crazy now, they’ll really think he’s crazy when he challenges Seth Rollins to a match at SummerSlam.
Shayna Baszler vs. Sasha Banks (w/Bayley)
Baszler waited for Banks to do her introduction and ready herself, then was slapped a couple of times while Banks lectured her about who she was.
Baszler reacted with two waistlock take downs and snapmare and halted kick to Banks’ back.
She blocked Banks’ strike and kicked out her legs for a near pinfall.
Baszler hit with a double underhook slam into an armbar, but Banks managed to roll to the ropes.
Bayley distracted Baszler, and Banks went after her left arm and nearly scored a quick pinfall.
Banks then locked Baszler in a wrist lock.
Baszler countered with a few stirkes to Banks’ midsection, the drove her into the corner, but missed with a shoudlerblock.
Banks hit with a crossbody block off the ropes, but Baszler rooled through it and hit Banks with a backbkreaker.
They exchange blocked kicks and Baszler tried to lock in the coquina clutch but Banks slipped out.
Banks managed to attempt a Bank Statement, but Baszler powered out of it, then connected with a kick after receiving a hurricanrana.
Asuka came out and attacked Bayley and the referee called for the disqualification for some stupid reason.
Asuka then chased Bayley out of the ring and Banks and Bayley cowered against the barricade.
This is just as screwy as Stephanie’s proclamation a couple of weeks back. Guess they’re throwing ideas at a dart board now?
Asuka’s challenge
In the ring, Asuka was asked about Kairi Sane and we were shown a recap of last week.
Asuka said Kairi will be okay but she’s not there. But Asuka, Bayley and Banks are there and she wants a rematch against Banks at SummerSlam.
Baszler entered the ring and said she’s cheering for Asuka, because she wants her to win the championship back from Banks so she can dismember Asuka and take her championship.
Banks slithered out from backstage with a message for them and held her championship up for all to see.
She said she’d give Asuka a championship shot is she can beat Bayley. Looks like she’s volunteering her friend like Bayley had done to her.
