Hello and welcome to this week’s WWE Raw Results and Recap!
Tonight looks like it’s going to be a fun one, so let’s get things started.
The was getting started, but things suddenly shit down, leaving Tom Phillips confused, but then Apollo Crews came out.
After Crews reached the ring, things shut down again, and the commentators mentioned there may be problems in the area that’s affecting them.
It was nice to hear Crews announced as the real United States Champions after the last few weeks.
MVP couldn’t let that pass, and claimed he’s the real champion because Crews didn’t show up at Extreme Rules.
He proclaimed he will win and their beef will be over.
United States Championship – Apollo Crews vs MVP (w/The Hurt Business – Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin)
The lights flickered as they locked up in the middle of the ring.
MVP took him down and tried to lock Crews in a body scissors, but Crews reversed it and flipped to his feet when MVP reversed his hold.
MVP then stomped Crews’ left foot, and then hit with a couple of upper cuts.
Crews reversed MVP off the ropes and hit with a pair of elbows, then a snap suplex. MVP kicked out of a couple of pin attempts.
Crews locked MVP in an armbar and worked it, keeping MVP on the mat.
MVP his with a forearm to the face to break the hold, then nailed Crews with a kick off the ropes.
Crews fought back and threw MVP off the ropes, but Lashley and Benjamin pulled MVP out of the ring.
Crews then his with a swanton over the ropes, taking out all three as we headed to commercial.
Crews pulls it out
WWE Raw Results and Recap returned from commercial to the match in progress in the ring and MVP in control with a headlock on Crews.
They showed a replay that during the commercial, Lashley took out Crews’ legs on the apron when the referee was distracted.
Crews fought out of the headlock and fired off the ropes, but MVP hit him with an elbow and attempted a pair of pin attempts.
MVP continued to work, hitting Crews with an elbow to the back of the neck and another pin attempt.
After sending Crews to the mat face first, MVP used the ropes and a modified camel clutch to work on Crews’ injured neck.
MVP worked Crews over in the corner with elbows, then missed with a kick and took a right hand to the back of the neck.
Crews hit with a crossbody, and a handful of shoulder tackles in the corner.
A splash in the corner followed by a spinebuster nearly got Crews the pinfall win, but MVP kicked out.
MVP blocked a toss powerbomb, but Crews ducked another attack and hit on his second attempt for the pin.
Crews then slipped away as Lashley tried to attack him.
Backstage, Apollo Crews was interviewed as the rightful United States Champion.
Crews described how he had to watch TV and see MVP lying, and how he couldn’t explain to his kids that he was the real champion.
He’s going to hang the old championship in his kids’ room and wear the title MVP payed for.
At the ring, MVP grabbed a mic and decided calling out the announcers for their shoddy working conditions as he blamed the lights.
MVP then called Crews out for not showing up at Extreme Rules and now stole his championship and demanded a rematch.
After Lashley whispered to him, MVP said he wants his rematch at SummerSlam.
