Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt have a long and complex history, and they’ll continue to add to it on tonight’s WWE Smackdown.
Both men have pushed each other to the point we’re going to see their true monstrous selves face off at SummerSlam.
A new monster
When Wyatt has unleased the Fiend, he’s changed superstars, most often for the worse. The only exception was Daniel Bryan, who turned face after their confrontations.
Strowman is no exception as last week, he promised Wyatt a monstrous confrontation at tonight’s WWE Smackdown.
This comes after two weeks of Wyatt trying to lure Strowman out of hiding for their final confrontation.
While Strowman has already promised Wyatt a chance at the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, tonight promises to be an interesting exchange.
What’ll happen is anyone’s guess, but since Strowman also declared himself as “what nightmares are made of,” we expect anything but gentleness from the Monster Among Men.
In short, we expect him to either attack and destroy the Firefly Fun House similar to what Seth Rollins did, or destroy Wyatt’s swamp home.
Whatever he does, it’s going to be an epic preview of the mayhem he’ll unleash in just over a week away at SummerSlam.
Alexa Bliss Interview
After spending two weeks being subjected to Bray Wyatt’s mental games, Alexa Bliss will sit down to talk about her experiences.
This is where things could get interesting.
While we expect her to recount the events as traumatic, there is a chance that she will turn on the interviewer or someone close to her afterwards.
We do expect a change in her, as has been the case with those the Fiend has attacked in the past.
This will also move a step closer to answering what many of us have been wondering about since the Swamp Match: is Bliss now Sister Abigail?
Will she accept it?
What will go a long way into Bliss accepting her knew fate may be Nikki Cross.
While Wyatt attacked Bliss to draw Strowman out, we can assume that Cross knocking her down and then leaving her played a part in that.
If Bliss does turn heel following her encounter, we expect her first target to be Nikki Cross simply for that moment.
Just as the Fiend has been Wyatt’s weapon against those that have wronged him, Bliss could develop a similar type of persona. Maybe even a Jekyll and Hyde type of one.
This is pure speculation on our part, but if she has a dual personality where the good one doesn’t know about the other. This would mean the evil side would come out on its known as a defense mechanism.
What’ll be really cool if they go this route will be seeing the gradual buildup as the other personality begins to grow and maybe take over.
