WWE Smackdown wouldn’t be complete without Miz TV being used to stir up some trouble, and this week is no different as Sonya Deville is slated to appear.
Last week, Deville attacked Mandy Rose and gave her an impromptu haircut before being forced to leave with a handful of hair.
Aside from extremely stalker-like, this also got us to wondering if Vince Russo wasn’t back on the writing team as this feels like something he’d come up with.
Given Miz and Morrison’s ability to sow seeds of unhappiness, then stand back and enjoy the show, we expect nothing less from them here.
Deville’s rationalization
There’s little doubt they’ll give Deville all the room she needs to express her frustration over her feelings of betrayal at Mandy Rose’s hands.
While the betrayal is more of perception than anything, having their promoted first open lesbian wrestler go psychotic friend-zoned stalker does make for interesting viewing while it pushes some boundaries.
Still, in her mind Deville did nothing wrong except pay Rose back for the trouble she’s caused by breaking up their team and ignoring Deville.
Somewhere around this point we expect Mandy Rose to come out, probably with Otis and Tucker in tow as they’re going to be protective of Rose.
Miz TV will quickly turn into a shouting match/argument that’ll lead to a possible match afterwards.
The match itself will probably be quick and one-sided before Rose pulls out the victory, but her and Deville’s feud will be moved along and begin setting up their match at SummerSlam.
Hair vs. Hair match at SummerSlam?
This is pure speculation, and it’s been making the rounds on social media, so we thought it worth mentioning as it makes sense given Deville’s recent barbering and it also takes us back to the Vince Russo question.
At least it’s not a bra and panties match?
This does off an interesting match, and will give Rose incentive since she’s been on the victim end of things for a while now.
To be honest, this feud really needs to simmer at some point so Deville and Rose can entered the championship picture.
It would be nice to see Deville be built up to be the badass she is, with Rose as a counterpoint. It’ll give us some interesting storylines down the road as well as some fun matchups.
