FTR are the top team in All Elite Wrestling following All Out, when they won the AEW Tag Team Championships from Kenny Omega & Hangman Page. They’ve called themselves ‘Top Guys’ for many years, but more than ever this is finally true. To prove this, they don’t just want to beat the teams in AEW, they want the best in the world to come to them, including champions.
FTR Want Motor City Machine Guns The Most
While sitting down with the owners of BodySlam.net, Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood, one of the pressing topics was the matter of which teams they want to bring to AEW and beat. One team stands above all in this list.
“Just today there was a tweet about us and Motor City Machine Guns and we get those all the time but today I made mention of it to Tony Kahn so we’ve spoken about it. I would love to work with them. I mean if we’re going to go down as the greatest tag team of all time we need to work with the greatest and they are one of the greatest and we need to beat them to be the greatest.”
Their styles would clash, and they’re both champions, making this similar to Thunder Rosa vs. Hikaru Shida, when the NWA Women’s Champion faced the AEW Women’s Champion. That match gives hope this could happen, and you can be assured both teams would look very strong in the end.
The Other Teams That We Could See Brought In
“You have the North that everyone wants us to work with. Josh Alexander and Ethan Page. The Dawsons. James Storm and Eli Drake, the NWA Tag Team Champions, Tama and T. We want to work with all those guys. I’ve heard of the Koloff Dynasty who has Nikita Koloff in their corner, but Nikita is a shell of his former self and he doesn’t want any part of Tully. Tully even at 65 will handle Nikita easy.”
Matches like FTR vs. The North seems set to happen, and given Thunder Rosa’s involvement in AEW, we can imagine the NWA Tag Team Champions coming in soon.
