With just one week until the proper relaunch of NXT UK, one of their champions needs to know their next challenger. WALTER has Ilja Dragonauv looking for this championship, but Kay Lee Ray needs someone to get ready for. KLR has recently passed the one year mark as champion, but has barely defened due to long feuds and NXT UK being shut down. Who will be named the next challenger to face The Scary Queen of Scots?
Kay Lee Ray Will Defend Against Piper Niven In Two Weeks
KLR is going to get right back into the fray with a huge match, facing an old friend & rival. This isn’t Toni Storm, who she last defeated in a brutal I Quit match, but fellow Scot, Piper Niven. They’ve known each other for nearly a decade, KLR even having her first professional match against Niven.
Both Niven & KLR have changed a lot since then, really having grown into their own as wrestlers. They’ve travelled the world together, stepped into WWE side by side, they’re best friends. However, all of that won’t matter when the bell rings.
The Kay Lee Ray that Piper Niven thinks she knows won’t be the one she finds in the ring. KLR has changed, and she’s gonna push her old friend to her mental and physical limits when they clash.
Sure To Be An Incredible Match
It will be a battle of speed vs. power, and sure to be an incredible match. They obviously know each other very well, and are both eager to get back in the ring. NXT UK is going to need big matches like this to get going, and this one again will come in two weeks, the second episode of the NXT UK reboot.
KLR is the longest reigning champion in the history of the NXT UK Women’s Championship by circumstance, but she will look to prove that this would have been the case anyways. Niven was likely to be the challenger at NXT UK Takeover Dublin, and the winner of this match will have Aoife Valkyrie getting ready to face them.
