WWE Raw Results turned out attention to the backstage area where Zelina Vega was asked about coming up short last night, and she said she’s just getting started.
She’s ready for Asuka, but Asuka isn’t ready for her.
Asuka entered the picture and said she’s ready, and hopes Vega is ready to lose again.
Raw Women’s Championship – Asuka (c) vs. Zelina Vega
Things started off fast and furious with Vega launching herself at Asuka as soon as the bell rang.
They rolled back and forth on the mat, exchanging blows before ASuka locked in an arm bar but Vega grabbed the ropes.
Vega kicked Asuka’ left arm, and then kept hold of Asuka’s arm after what looked like a botched hurricanrana. Vega then locked in a modified octopus.
Vega worked Asuka’s ribs while Vega elbowed her ribs, and Asuka rolled then over for a quick pin attempt, which force Vega to break the hold.
A drop kick to Asuka’s side sent her out of the ring, but Asuka caught her with a kick in mid air when Vega tried to hit with a axhandle off the apron and we headed to commercial.
Asuka holds on
We returned from commercial with the action back in the ring with Vega in control, kicking Asuka’s injured arm.
Asuka hit a flurry of blows, then a knee after throwing Vega off the ropes.
A German suplex and running knee led to a near pinfall for Asuka.
Vega fought out of a rear waist lock an dodged a spinning kick to lock up Asuka’s hurt arm. Wrapping her legs around the champion to force her to carry the weight.
Asuka broke the hold with a desperation suplex.
Asuka hit with a coupe of kicks and attempted the Asuka Lock, but Vega countered it into t pin attempt.
Asuka attempted a second Asuka Lock, but Vega made it to the ropes.
Vega hit with a Backstabber when Asuka was distracted with the referee for a pin attempt, but Asuka got her foot on the rope.
Asuka countered a reverse moonsault off the top rope by lifting her knees, then locked in the Asuka Lock for the win.
Backstage, WWE Raw Results found Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, and Christian sitting around, chatting and playing cards
Andrade’s on his own
WWE Raw Results came back from commercial while Zelina Vega was heading backstage, holding her shoulder and being addressed by Andrade.
For his part, Andrade said she’s nothing without him yet she blamed him.
He continued to point out she lost twice and that she and Angel Garza are the weak links. He claimed he was the one holding his team together and pronounced himself the best in the WWE.
