They’ve hinted at this turn the last couple of weeks, and while they may not go fully into action, we’re going to share what we expect to see. Besides, this would be so much fun to watch.
Alexa’s turn continues
Last week on WWE Smackdown, we got to see Alexa Bliss begin her heel turn as she appeared in pig tails with one strand braided, similar to Bray Wyatt’s dreadlocks.
When Nikki Cross pointed it out and said it reminded her of the Fiend, Alexa lost her mind and screamed about friends not being supportive and shattered the coffee mug Nikki got for her before storming off.
It was a really awesome segment as Alexa came out like her old self and hugged Nikki and Tamina, though the hair and somewhat teenager personality she had when talking about her hair were warnings.
We fully expect Nikki to try to reach her friend again this week, but we feel she may push a little too hard or happen upon a trigger word to set Alexa off and she’ll attack Nikki.
In this case, we think “attack” is more along the lines of a shove and another outburst similar to last week.
As for the trigger, we think it’ll be Nikki mentioning Alexa watching the Fiend and Braun Strowman’s match (we’re ignoring the MITB wanna be intrusion for the moment) from backstage.
Nikki’s been worried about her friend, and this could start a heartbreaking feud as we love Nikki and Alexa together, but it’ll also be cool to see Nikki try to redeem her friend.
Redemptions start at the source
What’ll make this really interesting is how they go about it.
Nikki could face Alexa time and again, but will that really work?
We think it could eventually lead to Nikki joining an unforeseen entity to try to get Alexa back, and it could be Bray Wyatt.
It’d only be natural since Alexa seemed to form a bond of sorts with him during their time together, but more than that, we think Braun Strowman is the one that holds a spell over her and she’s changed for him instead of the Fiend.
She’s an intermediary or crux in what could be the new Wyatt Family now that Roman Reigns has entered the picture.
While Wyatt feuds with him, she could use the opportunity to draw Wyatt and Strowman together, and that could also hasten another superstar’s return — Brock Lesnar.
There have been plenty of fans wanting a dream team of Lesnar and Reigns so they can boo both at once, so maybe it’ll happen.
Of course, this is purely speculation on our part, but you never know. If it’ll make money and lift ratings, Vince McMahon will do just about anything.
