    WWE Smackdown Results (9/4) Women’s Tag Team Championship – Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax (c) Defeated Bayley and Sasha Banks

    WWE Smackdown Results returnes for a recap of the Golden Role Models’ Payback match where they lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship, Alyse Ashton welcomed Bayley and Sasha Banks for an interview backstage in a training ring.

    They weren’t happy when Ashton pointed out their losses the last couple of weeks, and how they have a rematch with Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

    Bayley and Banks acted confident, and Banks defended Bayley when it was mentioned that Baszler has made her tap out in three straight matches.

    Banks went a long way in stressing that she and Bayley were best friends and they’re going to show the world why they run the WWE.

    Backstage Interviews

    Kayla interviewed Adam Pearce and he said Big E was on his way to be evaluated and that Big E will not take part in the Fatal Four Way.

    He added that they’re working on who will take Big E’s place.

    Heyman then introduced himself and asked to speak to Pearce and they moved off camera.

    Women’s Tag Team Championship – Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Bayley and Sasha Banks

    Banks and Bayley were aggressive during the introduction, so it’ll be interesting to see how far that’ll carries over.

    Bayley and Banks attacked Baszler and Jaz and threw them out of the rings.

    They then tired to hit baseball slides but were caught.

    Baszler and Jaz then pendulumed them off the barricade as we headed to commercial.

    Championship form

    Back to the match, Baszler and Bayley were in the ring, with Baszler and Jax in control.

    They hit Bayley with a double team of knees in their corner and Jax nearly scored a pinfall.

    Jax then hit with a shoulder breaker, but Bayley kicked out again.

    Jax tossed Bayley into a corner, then backup into her twice before she locked in a sitting full nelson.

    Bayley fought her way to her feet, but Jax threw her into the corner and followed it with a pinfall attempt.

    Bayley tried to fight back but was drive back into Baszler and Jaz’s corner.

    Baszler then tagged and took Bayley down and locked in an chicken wing, then snapped Bayley’s arm back, preparing her for a submission.

    Jax tagged back in and slammed Bayley’s leg into the mat. Banks ran in and drew the referee’s attention so Bayley could hit with a chop block, then tagged Banks in.

    Banks threw Jax into a corner and hit with a pair of knees, followed bya double knee, then a running knee.

    She then hit a meteora for a pinfall attempt, but Jax kicked out at two.

    Banks tried to lock in a sleeper, But Jax picked her up on her shoulders and tagged in Baszler.

    Bayley hung Jax up on the second rope so Banks could pull her off the apron in a power bomb.

    Baszler tried to lock in the coquina clutch, but Bayley countered with a suplex.

    Bayley tagged in Banks and Banks hit with a running knee for a near pinfall.

    Banks was in shock they didn’t win, and threw Baszler into their corner.

    Bayley and Banks tagged in and out as they stomped on Baszler.

    Baszler fought out of a double team attempt but was hit with a backstabber.

    Banks tried to pin Baszler, but Baszler kicked out.

    Bayley hit with a flying elbow and went for a pinfall despite not being the legal member. The referee didn’t bother to care.

    Coming up big

    Bayley pulled Baszler onto the apron for Banks to his with a sliding knee.

    Basler pulled herself to the opposite post, then slid under the ropes so Banks hit the ring post with a sliding knee.

    Baszler caught her double knee attempt and rammed her knees into the turnbuckler, then hit with a chop block.

    Banks hung ion the ropes, and Baszler hit with a dropkick from behind.

    Banks countered a figure four into a small package for a near pinfall on Baszler.

    Baszler knocked Bayley off the apron, then stomped on Banks’ injured legs.

    Bayley hit a Belly-to Bayley on Baszler when Baszler tried to lock them both in simultaneous submission holds.

    Banks tried a pin attempt, then locked in a Bank Statement, but Jaz broke the hold with a kick to Banks after she took Bayley out on the apron.

    Baszler tagged in Jax, and Banks countered a stretch submission into a near pinfall.

    With Banks on her shoulders, Jax climbed up the ropes, but Bayley pulled her to safety.

    Jax then hit both on the with a cross body of the second rope and pinned both for the win.

    This was a better match than WWE Smackdown Results expected following what they did at Payback, and it was a pleasant surprise.

    After the match, a medical crew was checking on Banks.
