Hello and welcome to this week’s WWE Smackdown results!
It should be an interesting night.
Once again we started the night off with Roman Reigns coming out with Paul Heyman at his side.
We’re guessing they’re going to address Jey Uso winning the number one contender match to face his cousin at Clash of Champions on September 27.
The match will give Reigns a chance to really cement his hell status when, not if, he hammers Jey into the mat. But that’s our opinion. Let’s see what he and Heyman have to say.
Heyman started it off by stating the tribal chief has given him permission to clear up a misconception.
He briefly recapped his Universal Championship win by wrecking everyone and leaving with the champions, omitting he waited until the Fiend and Braun Strowman did all the work.
He then went on to describe last week as Jey Uso pulled out all the stops to become the number one contender.
So, Reigns has given Heyman the honor and privilege of introducing Jey Uso.
Heyman introduced Jey as Reigns’ cousin, but added they could very well be blood brothers.
Uso came out and thanked Heyman for helping him so he can face Reigns at Clash of Champions.
Heyman said he wasn’t owed thanks, but that it was Reigns’ command that he executed. With his usual pomp and circumstance, of course.
Reigns then said Jey didn’t have to thank him, they’re blood. He added that Jey owned this and the whole family is proud of him.
He added this is Jey’s moment, because Clash of Champions won’t be him moment.
Reigns promised to beat him because the title needs to stay on his shoulder for the benefit of their family.
Uso started to say they’re all family when King Corbin’s music started.
Takes a turn
Corbin came out and said it wasn’t set up all along, that Reigns pulled some strings to get Jey into the position he is.
Corbin added that it’s a classic case of nepotism and it makes him sick, and nothing angers him more than someone abusing their power.
Sheamus came out ans said he has to agree with Corbin, and that this whole situation stink.
Sheamus reiterated that it should’ve been a Triple Threat match, but someone pulled some strignss.
Jey interrupted him asking if he needed time to prepare.
Sheamus told him to be quiet because the adults were talking.
Jey said they should have a tag match between the “The Blood vs. the Butt Muds.”
Sheamus charged him and jey sidestepped and sent him to the floor outside.
Jey then caught Corbin with a right hand, staggering him, and Jey sent him into the ring post shoulder first.
WWE Smackdown Results thinks we’ll have a tag match later on.
