A couple of months back, Impact Wrestling Preview saw Ken Shamrock told Sami Callihan that he needed time to think and figure out who he was.
It appeared that he surprised Callihan, but he couldn’t do much about it so he let Shamrock go. After all, they weren’t friends as they didn’t like or trust each other.
They were, simply put, there to win the tag team championship and with that endeavor ending in failure, there seemed little point in Callihan stopping him.
Mystery attacker
But then Eddie Edwards was attacked while leaving the Impact Zone last month, and everyone thought it was Eric Young.

It made sense for it to be Young with the Impact champion going on a rampage, but we learned that the attacked was Ken Shamrock.
Somehow, Callihan managed to twist Shamrock’s mind to his will and Shamrock has become little more than an attack dog for Callihan.
In many ways, this makes Shamrock even more dangerous as Callihan has managed to return him to his Most Dangerous Man persona from years ago and can activate it at a single word.
While this could be dangerous for Callihan down the road, Eddie Edwards is the one that’s got to figure out a way to deal with Callihan’s machinations.
And that starts tonight.
Cut off the head
With a match against Shamrock at Bound For Glory, Edwards can focus on Callihan tonight and gain an edge going into the pay-per-view.
While he’ll still have to worry about Shamrock outside the ring, Edwards will be able to focus more on Callihan as he tries to not only beat Callihan but to eliminate him from his match on Saturday.
Impact Wrestling Preview expect this match to be as brutal as they can make it as a great lead into Edwards and Shamrock’s match at Bound For Glory.
The funny thing about this is we’re curious to see how Shamrock reacts if Callihan loses.
Will he attack Edwards afterwards without being told to, and how much of a role will he play in the match to begin with?
It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out tonight and going forward.
There’s no denying that Callihan loves seeing Edwards in pain, so we doubt Edwards will get out of tonight without being attacked at some point.
