Amale & Nina Samuels tried to team up a few weeks back, but the ego of Samuels was more important than a win on that night. Now, they meet in a one on one match, with a win here making steady progress towards NXT UK Women’s Champion, Kay Lee Ray. Who would come out on top?
Nina Samuels Shows Her Submission Skills
They’d start with an aggressive lockup, Samuels shoving Amale to the ropes. Amale would shove back, ground Samuels and go for some punches. She was running hard into Samuels with lariats, but only getting a two count.
Samuels would find herself being choked out by the legs of Amale, before having her face slammed into the mat. She’d get to the apron and break the momentum, hit an armbreaker over the rope and get aggressive in this match. Amale would be slammed face first into the middle turnbuckle,then take double knees to the back.
This got Samuels a near fall, and she’d press the advantage with body scissors, trying for some pinfalls along the way. Amale tried to use this to get a pin of her own, only to end up punished in the ring by Samuels. Samuels is a sneaky submission expert, and this vicious fujiwara armbar showed that.
Final Act Time
Amale managed to fight out, hit a front dropkick and send Samuels into the corner, before hitting a running boot to get a near fall. Samules would once again use the ropes to her advantage, before hitting a dropkick while Amale was trapped for another near fall.
Amale would escape a German Suplex attempt, hitting a Northern Lights Suplex. The follow up of a dicuss elbow wouldn’t get her far, as Samuels would set up Final Act and get the win. This was an okay showcase for two of the undercard women of AEW, and both might reach the NXT UK Women’s Champion someday, but both need some more time. Samuels considered this the relaunch of the Nina Samuels show, and has her attention on Piper Niven next.
