After NXT cut some of their more unsavoury talents earlier this year following #SpeakingOut, there was some extra room on the roster. One of these slots is now filled, as one of the top names from the UK indies makes his way to WWE. This is the powerhouse, Rampage Brown. He’s been in Progress, he’s been in ICW, and now he’s going to bring the fight to old enemies in WWE.
A 20 Year Journey To WWE For Rampage Brown
Rampage Brown is not some rookie making his way to NXT UK like Ben Carter. He’s a man who has put in the miles, and has been involved in this sport since he was 17 years old. Brown has had a brief time in WWE back in 2011, but things didn’t work out and he has only gotten better since then.
He would go on to become Progress Champion, Progress Atlas Champion, ICW Tag Team Champion twice with NXT UK wrestler Ashton Smith, and so much more. He’s went bell to bell with the best the UK had to offer, and you’d be a fool to think he’s done now. Whoever leaves this show with the NXT UK Championship over their shoulder better watch their back, as a Rampage is coming.
Sadly Will Not Be Joining The Empire In NJPW
While many are happy to see him get his time in the sun with WWE, atleast one man is sad he won’t be working with him anymore. The Great O-Khan recently made his way to NJPW, as the first member of a new group headed by Will Ospreay. While on excursion in the UK, Brown & O-Khan would regularly team.
Upon reading this news online, O-Khan would have the following to say. “I woke up to the worst news. It’s your life, go the way you want to walk. But selfishly, I wanted to rampage with you, RPW, and NJPW.” We can only hope that Brown makes the most of his WWE tenure, and doesn’t keep fans wishing he went elsewhere.
