For a few weeks now, we’ve seen promos about controlling your narrative. This could only mean one thing, and that was EC3 was on his way to Ring Of Honor. After a horrible run in WWE, he’s looking to control his own fate and cover as much ground as possible. As his in-ring return for Impact Wrestling is just around the corner, he makes his presence known in Ring Of Honor, with what should be a great promo.
Why Is EC3 Here In ROH?
Is Honor real? There is no honor in what we do, everything has authority over us. Everyday, we lose more freedoms and lose focus on our greater purpose. Is there honor in fighting back against those who seek to control you? In fighting for your freedom to think and feel, in finding purpose?
Is there honor in the past? ROH was built by some black hats, punks with styles clashes, submissions machines and dragons with national identities. They were great men, who built a great house, but men are fallible. Men conform. Is there honor in the now? Men like The Briscoes, Jay Lethal, RUSH, Dragon Lee have carried the flag of ROH in recent years, the best wrestling on the planet. Is that fact? Or just self praise.
EC3 isn’t here to wrestle, he’s here to fight the best competition in the world. To fight, punch kick and claw, anyone who is willing to face EC3. He’s willing to sacrifice his body to see if Honor is real. Who is going to prove this to him?
Off To A Great Start
With this one promo, it’s clear the path of EC3 in ROH isn’t a pure one. He’s not here to follow a strict set of rules, he’s here to fight his way to the ROH Championship. RUSH isn’t in the country yet, but it’s time to start building up some challengers for the great champion.
Backstage, EC3 would be confronted by Shane Taylor, a name he missed when mentioning the best ROH has right now. He’s the baddest champion ever seen, and EC3 should wipe his feet before he enters Shane Taylors house. This comment brought The Briscoes out, who took offense to it. If it’s anyone’s house, it’s there. A brawl almost broke out, but instead we got a challenge. Shane Taylor and Soldiers Of Savagery vs. EC3 & The Briscoes.
