Once upon a time, Vincent seemed pretty well adjusted. He was part of The Kingdom alongside Matt Taven & TK O’Ryan, but when that faction broke up? Vincent snapped, and is now known as The Horror King, looking straight out of a movie directed by Rob Zombie.
He’s got a new crew called The Righteous including his new tag team partner, Tyler Bateman, and they were set to take 2020 by storm, and that could still be the case. In between the Pure Tournament this week, Vincent would look for some time on the microphone to address the fans of ROH.
Vincent Knows What It Takes To Be Successful
There’s been a lot of talk of change going on in ROH, with purity replacing violence, but Vincent doesn’t need to change. He’s righteous, and just here to tell ROH fans the truth. Vincent once spent his time in the shadows, looking for someone to drag him into the light, and that was done by himself. He’s the face of Ring Of Horror, in the spotlight.
Suffering is something you learn to live with, and eventually it starts to feel very good. He wanted fans to look into his eyes, and dig what he’s saying. If you wanna be successful? You need to have friends. But if you want to be very successful, you have to make enemies.
Following this very Bray Wyatt-esque promo, we’d see a video package previously seen on ROH Week-By-Week show up, urging fans to Follow The Trend. Suddenly, an enemy of Vincents was here, a man he put down almost a year ago and thought he was done with.
Matt Taven Is Back!
At Final Battle 2019, Vincent met Matt Taven in a wild brawl of a match, and came out on top. This was the last we saw of Taven, until right now. He’d come out of nowhere and beat down Vincent, saying he’d never get rid of him, threatening to rip his eyes out. It was this very building where they last met, and it could be here where they meet again in a match.
Taven looks better than ever, and would expose the wooden planks of the ring before kneeing Vincent in the face. He’d hit The Climax on the exposed wood, and say this is just the beginning. A table would be pulled from out from under the ring, Vincent was sent head first into the ring post, and propped onto the table. Taven came off the top rope, crushing Vincent and this brawl was over.
This shows that ROH isn’t sticking purely to the new format, and we could be seeing a Fight Without Honor in the coming weeks. Are you happy to see former ROH Champion Matt Taven back? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
