It was revealed this week that Daniel Bryan will be making his Thunderdome debut on SmackDown tonight. Bryan was re-drafted by SmackDown during the second night of the draft on Raw, and he will kick off the season premiere of the show this evening. There hasn’t been an opponent selected for his return at present, but fans will be happy to see Bryan competing again on SmackDown.
His last match was four months ago as he lost to AJ Styles in a match that was to determine the superstar that would be challenging for the Intercontinental Championship. But, which superstars could Bryan bet set to feud with after he makes his return tonight?
WWE News: Daniel Bryan vs Sami Zayn
The most logical opponent that Bryan could come up against tonight and over the course of the next couple of weeks is Sami Zayn. Zayn is the reigning Intercontinental champion, but no longer has any challengers for the gold after both AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy were drafted to Raw. Bryan’s involvement in the title hunt back in June would mean that this could be a route that the company go down, and Zayn could kickstart that by challenging Bryan to a match tonight.
WWE News: Daniel Bryan vs Seth Rollins
Daniel Bryan against Seth Rollins could be a very safe first rivalry for Bryan after making his return, as both superstars are polar opposites. Rollins was drafted to SmackDown for the first time in his career during the draft, and he could feasibly be the superstar to step up and challenge Bryan during the opening segment of SmackDown this evening. Rollins currently still has the ongoing battle against the Mysterio’s to contend with, and it will be interesting to see whether that has come to an end now that he is on the blue brand, or whether there will be a final match scheduled for Hell in a Cell.
WWE News: Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens finally ended his rivalry with Aleister Black on Raw this past week, which means that the door could be open for another meaningful rivalry on SmackDown. There are a number of standout names that Owens could challenge, but none are more interesting than the prospect of seeing Owens and Bryan go at it. These two have the ability to tear the roof down, and Owens could be the one to challenge Bryan tonight.
