This past weekend at NXT Takeover 31, Ridge Holland kindly delivered a beaten Adam Cole to ringside following the main event. Cole has two broken ribs, and we can’t confirm who did this. However, Holland is in action tonight and showed up in a new car. Could he have been hired to take out Adam Cole, if so, by who?
Atleast we will have no doubt who destroyed his opponent tonight, but Danny Burch isn’t going to make it easy.
Ridge Holland Looks Impressive Against Danny Burch
This was going to be a hard hitting match, and they’d just get right into it. Holland would take Burch down to the mat, only to go for a headlock and have Burch snatch the wrist. Where the wrist goes, the body goes, and Burch knows this. He’d take control of Holland with this control and some heavy strikes, ending the flurry with a front dropkick from the middle rope.
Holland would hit a back elbow as Burch tried for a German Suplex, only to be caught with one anyways, and then trapped in a crossface. He’d power out and run Burch through with a lariat before hitting the Northern Grit driver. Burch gave him trouble, but one move ended him. He just needed to get the space to end it, and it was over. This is a quality which will take him far.
Oney Lorcan Gets Revenge For His Best Friend, Ridge Holland Gets Injured
Holland would kick the face of Burch after the match, and this prompted him to take some extra shots at Holland. Burch would be dropped, and Oney Lorcan made the save. Holland would take him down too, and it would take six referees to get Holland out the ring, but Lorcan just dove onto him.
This brawl wasn’t over, but a huge lariat turned Lorcan inside out, ending this one… until Lorcan threw himself back onto Holland, who went down hard on his knee. He had to be stretchered out, and we will have to see how long he’ll be out for. When he caught Lorcan, his leg bent in an unnatural way, and screamed out of pain. There is no doubt he’s injured, it’s just a matter of how bad it is. Here’s hoping he isn’t out for long, as there were clearly big plans in mind for him.
