Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and it looks like we’re in for a fun show tonight as we close out another year and prepare for the WWE Draft beginning on this Friday’s WWE Smackdown.
Before we learn who’s going where and with whom, we have to see which superstars make it through tonight in one piece.
With Bray Wyatt invited on the Kevin Owens Show and Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton on opposite side in a 5 man tag match, anything is possible.
Better grab some snack while we can, and we’ll see you all back here for showtime at 8 p.m. EST.
See you then!
Segment 1
Orton cut an awesome promo where he went into detail what he did to Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Christian, and Ric Flair last week.
McIntyre burst into the room and attacked him, and Orton slipped out while officials held McIntyre back.
Segment 2
6 Woman Tag Match – Zelina Vega, Natalya, and Lana vs. Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, Asuka
This was a fun match that Mandy Rose scored the pin on Lana for the win.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler came out, and Lana pulled Natalya away but Lana was Samoan dropped through the announce table.
Again. Best of seven series?
Segment 3
R-Truth lost the 24/7 championship to Drew Gulak after tripping over a wet foor sign.
MVP told Ricochet, Apollo Crews, and Ali Mustafa that there’s an opening in the Hurt Business tonight only, and Ricochet looked like he was considering it.
Segment 4
Seth Rollins and Murphy vs. Humberto Carrillo and Dominik Mysterio
This started off well as Murphy demanded Rollins apologize to Aalyah for his comments. Carrillo and Dominik came to the ring and sent them both to the floor before the match began and the commerical started.
Segment 5
A back and forth match that had as much infighting between Rollins and Murphy as the match saw Murphy score the win after ctahcing Carrillo in mid air with a knee.
Murphy then left Rollins and stormed backsatge.
Strowman arrived, demanding a match from Adam Pearce. Pearce said he can set up an unsanctioned match once he finds an opponent.
Keith Lee approached Pearce and told him to sign him up.
Segment 6
The KO Show featuring Bray Wyatt.
An awesome exchange between Owens and Wyatt from teh Firefly Fun House set the stage for them to meet on Smackdown.
Impatient, Owens started to head backstage to look for Wyatt when Aleister Black jumped him and knocked Owens out with a Black mass.
Segment 7
Seth Rollins told Murphy he needs to apologize to him and pay a hefty price.
Drew McIntyre responded to Randy Orton’s challenge by accepting and promising that Orton is the one locked in a cell with him at Hell in a Cell.
Segment 8
Exhibition (Unsanctioned) Match – Braun Strowman vs. Keith Lee
This was hugely disappointed as it ended in a double count out less than a minute into it.
Strowman put Lee through the barricade out of frustration, and Lee put Strowman into teh LED board and both of them through the side of the stage.
Guess we have a new feud and upcoming match at Hell in a Cell.
Segment 9
R-Truth won back the 24/7 Championship after a scrum between him, Gulak, and Akira Tozawa in a trash receptical.
Segment 10
The Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) (w/MVP vs. Ricochet and Apollo Crews (W/Ali Mustafa)
Ricochet interupted an MVP promo to play games and pass on MVP’s offer (we don’t believe it).
Ricochet then took some abuse before he and Crews took control as we ehaded to commerical.
Segment 11
Bobby Lashly slapped on a Hurt Lock on Apollo Crews for the win, but this was a fun, exciting match. We’re surprised Ricochet didn’t turn, but it feels like it’s only a matter of time.
Especially with Cedric Alexander out of action for the time being.
Segment 12
The apology didn’t go as Rollins expected as Murphy turned on him and beat one out of him with a kendo stick. But Rollins then got the jump on him and returned the favor until the Mysterio family came out.
They escorted Aalyah backstage with Dominik admonishing her for her decisions the whole way.
Segment 13
Women’s Tag Team Championship – Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax (c) vs. The Riot Squad (Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan)
This match started off with Baszler and Jax dominating in an almost bored manner as we headed to commercial.
Segment 14
Baszler locked in the Coquina Clutch on Riott to force the submission.
This was arguably the match of the night and the most brutal.
It was great to sse Riott and Morgan in a match that lasted more than a couple of minutes. We wouldn’t mind a rematch at some point.
Segment 15
MVP (w/Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin vs. Mustafa Ali
Ali put up a good fight when the Hurt Business surrounded him.
Retribution then entered and Ali seemed to join MVP and the others, then slipped out of the ring to confront T-Bar and Mace.
After a moment, he turned and ordered Retribution to attack and they decimated the Hurt Business.
Guess who Retribution’s leader is? The match ended in no contest, if anyone’s interested.
Segment 16
6 Man Tag Team Match – The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode
This started as a three on one against McIntyre until Montez Ford his a swan dive on Roode and Ziggler on the floor before commercial.
Segment 17
This was a fun match that was on par with the Women’s Tag Team Championship and maybe a bit above.
It was a great way to end the show as the WWE allowed their stories to be told in the ring instead of a hundred interviews, and the wrestlers didn’t disapoint.
