Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Results!
Tonight’s a special night as it’s the season premier of WWE Raw, and while the matches we’re privy to look predictable, they could end up being better than we expect, so it adds a fun aspect to the night.
Here we go!
Whelp, we got a new theme song and video, and we already miss the last song. No energy. This is off to good start.
After some promoting from the commentators, Alexa Bliss appeared in the ring while the Fiend’s psycho music played and she said, “Monday Night Raw, he’s here. Let. Him. In.”
The power shut down and his entrance theme began as he came out to start it off. Now this is a interesting way to start the show.
Once in the ring, the Fiend stood behind Alexa. He then stood next to her and took her hand in his.
Retribution’s theme then appeared on the Thunderdome and they circled the ring as the Fiend and Bliss didn’t move.
With them surrounded, they entered the ring with Mustafa Ali leading the way.
Retribution circled them like sharks, and as Ali held up his right hand, the power went out.
Calls of “Get him!” filled the arena, but when the lights came on, the Fiend was gone, leaving them confused.
The Hurt Business came out, and a brawl erupted in the ring and The Hurt Business cleared the ring and Cedric Alexander took them out with a flip over the top rope as we headed to commercial.
The Hurt Business (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander) vs. Retribution (Mustafa Ali, T-Bar, Mace, Slapjack)
Ali assigned T-Bar to start off against Lashley, and the two started off pounding on each other. Lashley quickly gained the upper hand and hit a clothesline.
Lashley ran into a big boot and a hit from behind, but Lashley hit a Flat Liner, and Slapjack came in.
Lashley beat him down, then his a stalling suplex.
Alexander tagged himself in and Slapjack quickly got the upper hand, but Alexander reversed a suplex into a front slam and tagged in MVP.
MVP stomped Slapjack down, then slingshot him into their corner for a near pinfall.
Alexander came back in, and nailed Slapjack with a kick and an elbow, but T-Bar and Mace distracted Alexander while he was on the top rope.
Slapjack then hit Alexander with a right and flipped him across the ring.
Ali came in and went to work on Alexander’s left arm with a stomp. He snapmared Alexander over and hit him in the back with a dropkick for a near pinfall.
Alexander caught Ali with a right hand, and then a forearm after Alexander flipped onto the apron.
Ali took ut his feet when Alexander climbed to the ropes, and then slammed Alexander into the barricade and the two teasm faced off outside the ring.
The Fiend’s image appeared on the titantron and his screeching music played as we headed to commercial.
Lashley leads the way
WWE Raw Results returned with the action back in the ring and no Fiend yet.
Benjamin and Mace slugged it out in the ring, both an even match for the most part until Mace backed Benjamin into the corner.
Benjamin sidestepped a charge and Mace hit the ring post with his shoulder, and Benjamin hit a German Suplex and a running knee when Mace was in the corner.
Benjamin went for a pair of pin attempts, then his with a knee drip to Mace’s head before locking in a reverse chin lock.
Lashley came in, but he was hit with a kick off the ropes. Lashley then knocked mace out of the ring, and then each Retribution member off the apron.
He then hit a spear on T-Bar for pin attempt, but Ali saved him, then backed away from Lashley.
T-Bar grabbed Lashley from behind, but Lashley reversed it into a rear waist lock, and then slapped on the Hurt Lock for the win.
The Fiend’s wrath
After the match, the lights shit off again, and when they came back on, the Hurt Business was leaving the ring, and the Fiend appeared on the apron next to Ali.
The Fiend shoved Ali off the apron, then leveled mace with a clothesline, a Sister Abigail on T-Bar, and one-armed slammed mace onto the announce table.
He turned his attention to Ali, who ran into the ring. The Fiend caught him and was about to hit a Sister Abigail when T-Bar broke the hold with a big boot.
T-Bar then tried to chokeslam the Fiend, but the Fiend also locked in his mandible claw on T-Bar.
The Fiend forced T-Bar to his knees and hit him with a Sister Abigail.
He then turned to face the Hurt Business as they were lined up on the ramp.
Alexa’s image appeared on the Titantron saying “Let me in.”
This was a far better opening to the show than WWE Raw Results expected, and it bodes well for the show.
