WWE Raw Results was curious to notice WWE were nice enough to set up a Hell in a Cell at Randy Orton’s urging because he wanted to come out there and remember.
Of course, he locked himself in, and we’re willing to bet Drew McIntyre is already inside it.
Orton said he never left a piece of himself in the HIAC, but he left the last seven times having learned something more about himself.
He pointed to each spot and remembered standing toe to toe with Mark Henry, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, Daniel Bryan, and John Cena twice.
He added the most important thing he learned was that he remembered standing in the cell and looking the Undertaker in the eye and earning his respect.
He then said that everyone he’s faced there will one day be in the Hall of Fame, and they are Legends.
He continued that the word Legend gets thrown around a lot.
He said there’s a different between Legends and legendary moments, and Orton said McIntyre had a legendary moment when he beat Brock Lesnar.
McIntyre ends it on a cliffhanger
McIntyre came out and we were surprised he wasn’t hiding under the ring.
Orton mocked him, saying he has to wait until Sunday and told him to come and get him.
McIntyre said he’d come and get him and pulled bolt cutters from behind the barricade and cut the lock. We give them props for not having McIntyre hiding under the ring, but this, well…
Orton climbed into the ring with a steel chair as McIntyre entered the cell.
Macintyre said, “You’re a$$ belongs to me,” and that’s where the show ended.
Okay, this was an interesting ending and not anything we’re unused to over the years.
We assume they’re going to add whatever happened next to their online channels since this feels more like the ending of last year’s HIAC match between Rollins and the Fiend.
Unsatisfying isn’t a strong enough word, but it makes sense to build suspense. To a degree anyway.
The show overall was decent, but it went downhill after the first two matches for the most part. Firefly Fun House didn’t disappoint, and there were a couple of cool moments.
