Next week on Monday Night RAW, we have a triple threat match to name a new number one contender for WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. It will see three top level performers go to war, those being AJ Styles, Keith Lee & Matt Riddle. However, there is another man who they should be keeping an eye out for during that match, and a worthy challenger in his own right. This is former WWE Universal Champion, Braun Strowman.
Braun Strowman Is Currently Suspended For Attacking Adam Pearce
During a segment with all of Team RAW in the ring, everyone wanted a title shot. They went 5-0 over Team Smackdown, giving them all a solid case. Everyone gave their case, and a mini-tournament was set, but only four of the men involved got into it. This was because Braun Strowman was chosen last to pitch his case, and assaulted Adam Pearce, who has become a GM figure in recent weeks. This led to him being suspended, and therefore not in a qualifying match, with Bobby Lashley getting his spot.
The suspension might be all it takes for Strowman to break the rules further, show up next week at Monday Night RAW and take out the three men who moved on. While this might lead to bigger suspensions and fines, it might be just what he needs to reach his goal.
Drew McIntyre Likes A Challenge
With the clear goal being facing Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at TLC in December, Strowman might take a route of making McIntyre want the match. A lot can be said about McIntyre, but he’s absolutely a fighting champion, who never backs down from a challenge. Hell, he faced The Big Show right after slaying Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania, which only a fool or a very confident man would do.
That might be what Strowman uses to get what he wants. If he presents a big enough challenge for Drew McIntyre, he might be chosen as the challenger for the WWE Championship by the man himself. McIntyre has a solid level of power as WWE Champion, and that’s something that can and will be manipulated. If this match happens, it’ll be a heavyweight slugfest for the ages, something McIntyre proves to be great at.
