Over the summer, Bronson Reed rose through the ranks in WWE NXT. The agile Australian heavyweight was gaining some serious steam, being a major player in the ladder match for the vacant NXT North American Championship and having high level matches with the likes of Johnny Gargano & Roderick Strong.
However, he’s been off TV since the October 21st episode of NXT TV, and this has fans curious on what is happening with Bronson Reed.
Bronson Reed Was Taken Off TV Shortly After COVID-19 Cases Were Reported In The WWE Performance Center
In recent months, Bronson Reed has been mainly seen on Twitter, practically begging WWE to get their sh*t together in the face of COVID-19. Him vanishing from TV just before WWE had reported cases in the WWE Performance Center makes this all make too much sense. It’s likely Reed was one of the people exposed.
He recently posted to Twitter about regaining his strength, adding to this theory. “Doing deadlifts for the first time in over a month. Strength is a frigid b*tch”. If he was exposed to the virus and dealt with the symptoms, and is just getting back his strength? That would explain his absence. He has not outright stated he caught the virus, but things add up and it answers many questions. It could have been another injury as well.
The above tweet is from December 2nd, and things are looking good for him coming back.
Name Dropped By Triple H Alongside Finn Balor & Karrion Kross As A Coming Return
It’s no secret fans are missing NXT’s resident thicc boi. Every Wednesday, he’s flooded with tweets asking when he’s coming back to TV. We’re out of the WarGames season, and building to the next big show, it could be time to bring Reed back into the mix.
During the preshow for NXT Takeover WarGames, Triple H would speak on who to expect back in the ring soon. First up was NXT Champion Finn Balor, followed by mentions of Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed. The fans want him back, Triple H sees him as a major player, and Reed is itching to get back into that ring and do what he does best.
So no, Bronson Reed wasn’t taken off TV for being upset about COVID-19 and how the company handled it on Twitter. Nor was he taken off TV for wanting Ever-Rise & Kevin Owens as his team for WarGames. In some way, he was injured, but fear not, Reed will be back before we know it.
