As soon as Rampage Brown took his first steps into the NXT UK Performance Center, everyone braced themselves. He’s practically a legend of the UK wrestling scene, having been everywhere and beaten just about everyone.
Brown is on a two match winning streak, having dropped Jack Starz & Saxon Huxley, and this week he looks to add Josh Morrell to the list of names that he’s dropped. Morrell is a promising prospect for NXT UK, but he’s not Rampage Brown.
Rampage Brown Sends Josh Morrell Into Orbit
Brown had a clear power advantage, but Morrell showed some speed and technical edge in this match. That’s only good for as long as he stayed out of the grasp of Rampage Brown. Morrell had a nice fifteen seconds of not being manhandled before he entered orbit after a back body drop. He made his re-entry somewhere around the ropes, only to have a boot rammed into the side of his head. That’s how quick Rampage Brown takes control of a match.
Morrell was on the outside but Rampage went after him and brought him back in. A big scoop slam and some elbow drops, and was just playing with Morrell. He loves to punish in the ring, and Morrell did get a jawbreaker to get some room, before having Rampage run into the corner post. A nice dropkick actually dropped Rampage for a standing corkscrew moonsault! It got a one count.
The Win Streak Continues
Morrell stayed on the offensive, using his speed to keep himself in this one. He dodged a lariat, but was leveled with another soon after. Rampage Brown hit a deadlift powerbomb, and a Doctor Bomb followed for an easy win.
This puts Rampage Brown up to a three win streak, and he just looks tougher and tougher by the week. A-Kid might be next in line for a shot at the NXT UK Championship, but Brown can’t be far behind.
