Rampage Brown is the shiny new toy in NXT UK, as the longtime veteran of the area finally makes his way to WWE. He had a successful debut against Levi Muir, which was more of a squash than anything. This week, the 21 year veteran has a much more daunting test ahead of him, as he faces fellow heavyweight bruiser, Saxon Huxley.
Saxon Huxley Isn’t To Be Taken Lightly
These two big bruisers would lock up, with Huxley getting a headlock before being thrown off into the ropes. He’d fail to drop Rampage on the return, and would end up in a headlock. This time, Rampage was shoved off, and he exploded back with a jumping shoulder tackle, before Huxley came back with a shoulder tackle, dropping Rampage.
They’d lock up again, and Huxley threw a knee to the gut before hitting the ropes, but Rampage hit a big dropkick after Huxley hit the ropes. Rampage would throw a quick uppercut, sending Huxley into the corner for more abuse. A leaping lariat dropped Huxley, but only got a two count.
Huxley would try to fight back to his feet, only to be lifted and dropped with a big suplex. Another comeback was dashed by a toe kick and a lariat over the top rope, this allowed Huxley to pull Rampage to the outside for a scrap. Now in his element, Huxley could shove Rampage into the apron before sending him back into the ring and hitting the flying clothesline for a two count.
Rampage Brown Just Needed Another Opening
Now with Rampage Brown on the ropes, Huxley would hit some big knee strikes before throwing Rampage into the corner a few times. Rampage fought back but was planted with a slam, but despite many pinfall attempts, he didn’t get the win. Again, he’d go up top but Rampage caught up and hit some chops.
The superplex was set up, but Huxley fought Rampage off and dove with a crossbody, but was caught in a powerslam. One Doctor Bomb later, and Huxley was done. This was another dominant win for Rampage Brown, and you have to imagine his goal is a shot at WALTER and the NXT UK Championship.
