Last week, AJ Styles pinned Sheamus after hitting him with a Phenomenal Forearm, and WWE Raw Preview expects Sheamus to be looking for some revenge tonight.
Always one to take advantage of a situation, Styles hit his finisher after Sheamus accidentally hit McIntyre with a Brogue Kick.
This led to Sheamus and McIntyre blowing off steam backstage in an impromptu brawl, and it’s given Styles a new bounce to his step as he’ll not only face the Celtic Warrior, but he’s bringing “The Nightmare before TLC.”
Styles will have the Miz and John Morrison to back him up for what WWE Raw Preview expects to be a mock fight on Miz TV to demonstrate what he’ll do to McIntyre.
There’s also the possibility the three of them with jump Sheamus at some point in their match or backstage.
While Sheamus should be able to fight them off, we think he’ll be laid out, which will infuriate McIntyre for his upcoming match.
There’s also the possibility that the three of them will jump McIntyre in the backstage area instead, and while that seems likely, the recent build up of Miz, Morrison, and Styles makes then look too weak to carry it out.
AJ Styles vs. Sheamus
This has potential to be an interesting segment and match as Sheamus and Styles have the ability to wow us, and we hope they’re given the chance to do so and really build up the hype for TLC.
As we mentioned above, we expect Miz and Morrison to possible interfere in this match, but we hope not.
Styles can more than take care of himself even without Omos at his side.
To be honest, we think adding the big man, while entertaining , hasn’t shown Styles as a strong opponent for McIntyre, especially after Omos carried Styles away from the ring a couple of weeks back.
Still, we expect this to be a great match, hopefully without any outside interference to allow these two men to do what they do best.
While Sheamus and/or McIntyre getting jumped at some point tonight is most likely, we think it’d drive home the point more if Styles can win a hard fought match against Sheamus, then the others come out.
After all, what better way to fire McIntyre up than to “take out” his friend before his title defense at the Table, Ladders, and Chairs Pay-per-view?
What do you think Styles has planned for tonight? Let WWE Raw Preview know in the comments below.
