WWE Raw Preview are looking forward to seeing how the WWE closes out 2020 for Raw, and there’s reason to be optimistic after last week’s Smackdown was arguably the year’s best.
Of course, Raw won’t have the luxury of following an NFL game for a boost, but there’s always hope.
We’ve had some great matches over the last few weeks, and if they can avoid the nonsensical throwing things at the wall to see if they stick feel, we could be in for a major surprise.
Alexa Bliss continues to play with Randy Orton
Following a creepy yet fun sequence last week between Bliss and Orton, we expect the top segment on Raw to continue with another installment tonight.
We expect Bray Wyatt to make a dazzling return in a couple of weeks to help set up a final match at the Royal Rumble, so until then we get to enjoy Alexa Bliss’ awesome performance in her new character.
Tonight’s interaction will most likely be along the lines of last week’s, but with Orton seeking out Bliss, possibly on A Moment of Bliss.
This is definitely a segment we’re going to have some popcorn ready for.
The Miz’s MITB chase
The Miz will continue to get his push as we expect another episode where he’s maniacally motivated as he tries to get his MITB contract back.
While he’s put forth a great effort, the MITB storyline has been abysmal for a while now, as many of us are tired of being inundated with it.
With that being said, we are curious to see if the Miz is successful in getting his contract back. We’re hoping it’ll be denied in some hilariously awful way to put the final rotten stake in this story.
Since the WWE is lacking legitimate tag teams, maybe they should push him and John Morrison more in the tag division? Just a thought.
McIntyre’s caught between friends
WWE Raw Preview has been waiting for Sheamus and Keith Lee to erupt in a killer feud, and it looks like their one-up-man-ship starting with Lee tagging himself in for the win, will finally get good.
It also looks like WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will be in a supporting role in this like he was for his title defense going into TLC and that’s not a bad thing.
McIntyre has shown he can be the face of the WWE over the last year, as any hiccups in his run weren’t directly tied to him.
Things like his and Orton’s feud going too long and Dolph Ziggler or AJ Styles never getting a real build for their challenge were all on the creative side.
So, we expect McIntyre to soon have to pick a side between Lee and Sheamus, and we think he’ll step back and tell them to sort it out themselves.
This will allow Lee and Sheamus to enter into what should be a brutally awesome back and forth feud with a couple of double disqualifications and count outs before they face off at or in the Royal Rumble.
It’ll also allow McIntyre and Styles to build a quality feud going forward. While Styles has been made to look weak by relying so much on Omos, we have no doubt he and McIntyre can have a match for the ages.
If he’s given the chance.
Tag team ambitions
MVP has taken the Hurt Business to new heights and we’ve loved watching him help bring Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to the fore again.
Their talents have been missed, but he’s also been a huge boon to Cedric Alexander as he’s joined the others in tapping into his potential and it’s great to see.
WWE Raw Preview are looking forward to seeing them do business again tonight, and can’t wait to see what they and the Hardy Bros (Jeff Hardy, Riddle) have in store for us next.
