WWE Raw Resutls returned as Lana and Asuka talked about their match for the tag team championship at TLC, and Lana admitted she’s scared of facing Nia Jax on her own.
Asuka said even though she’s scared she’ll still walk out to face Jax and that makes her the bravest person Asuka knows and she’s proud to be Lana’s partner.
Lana vs. Nia Jax
They locked up right away and Jax slammed Lana to the mat and then slammed her into the corner.
Jax followed it with a splash and dropped her to the mat.
Asuka cheered on Lana from backstage while Jax shoved her around and then tried a press slam, but Lana hit a hurracanrana on Jax and nailed her with a kick.
Lana headed to the top rope, but Jax caught her with a headbutt and climbed up to the second rope and hoisted Lana onto her shoulders.
Lana slipped free and tried a powerbomb then changed her tactic to kick Jax’s leg, causing her to fall backwards. Lana then hit a stomp for a pin.
Shayna Baszler put up more of a fight and Jax looked shocked.
While Lana celebrated in the ring, Baszler attacked Asuka from behind in the back and stomped her down. In the ring, Jax nailed Lana from behind and then banged her head on the mat as Baszler arrived.
Jax hit a leg drop off the ropes and set up Lana’s arm for Baszler to stomp on it.
Baszler asked her when will she learned, and then stomped Lana’s left ankle and exposed her foot and while Lana begged them not to, held it for Jax to hit her leg with a pair of leg drops.
Asuka came out and pulled Baszler from the ring and hit a jawbreaker on Jax and followed it with a hit attack on Baszler when she tried to climb back into the ring.
Asuka cleared the ring with a superkick to Jax and went to protect Lana.
Wonder how long they’re going to keep this angle going?
Elias takes on a new role
Elias was in the ring to welcome us back from commercial. He then introduced his new roadie, Jaxson Ryker.
He pointed to when he was electrocuted during the Symphony of Destruction match and said it would’ve ended an ordinary man. He said he was baptized in lightning.
He gained visions of Ryker who knows the Universal truth that WWE stands for Walk With Elias.
Ryker joined the pumped in chants of Elias’ phrase and then said Elias’ music changed him.
He said Elias is a visionary and he’s been interrupted, disrespected, and attacked for far too long and he’s there to stop that.
Elias hates interruptions
Elias wanted to demonstrate the healing power of his music and dedicated his next song to Lana, but as he started, R-Truth entered the ring.
Truth told him he didn’t want to interrupt, he just wanted to apologize for interrupting him on last week’s Main Event.
When Elias pointed out he was interrupting him again and Truth said he didn’t want to interrupt.
So, Elias started playing again, but the middle card guys ran out to get the 24/7 title. Truth ducked a couple and Ryker took out Lince Dorado and press slammed Akira Tozawa to the floor on the rest of the group.
Ryker hit Dorado with a sit down choke slam while Truth ran off.
Backstage, Miz told Morrison he didn’t like how Styles told him the other week that Styles preferred for the Miz to cash in on McIntyre because Miz would be easier to beat.
Morrison agreed with that, but as they got more into it, Keith lee approached them and said he has an idea.
Miz asked him if he wants what happened to Sheamus to happen to him.
Lee said it was something like that and he flipped a coin and Morrison called heads.
Lee congratulated Morrison on his win and said that’s the only thing he’ll win.
WWE Raw Results are still in shock that Elias is the new Monday Night Messiah persona. Just when we thought that gimmick was dead and buried.
