WWE Raw Results tuned in as they started out with a lockup and a side headlock by Elias, who pulled Styles to the mat but Styles reversed it with a head scissors.
Styles then rolled Elias up for a pin attempt as he tried to quicken the match’s mace.
Styles locked in a side headlock and the pair exchanged holds until Elias hit a couple of knees and beat down Styles in the corner.
Elias then hit a backdrop for a pin attempt.
Elias dropped a knee on Styles’ left arm and locked in a wrist lock and hit with a shoulder block before he picked Styles up and held him aloft by his injured arm.
Styles slipped down Elias’ back and tried a sunset flip and tripped Elias into the ropes, and landed a series of strikes before hitting a dropkick.
Elias rolled to the floor, and he pulled Styles off the apron and dropped him face first into the apron and threw Styles into the ring post as we headed to commercial.
Styles’ isn’t ready to retire yet
Back from commercial, Styles was in control in the ring, but Elias hit with a running knee for a near pinfall.
Elias continued to work on Styles’ left arm, and he hit a Walk with Elias, a meteora and Old School style, for a near pinfall.
Elias slapped on a reverse chin lock and then a wrist lock, but Styles fought Elias into the ropes to break the hold, and Elias nailed him with a right and Styles fell outside the ring.
Ryker was going to attack Styles when Omos approached and backed him off.
Elias threw Styles into the ring while keeping an eye on Omos, then went back to a writs lock.
Styles managed to punch his way out of the hold and hit a clothesline and flying forearm. A clothesline in the corner a knee to Elias’ back led to a near pinfall.
Styles went for a Styles Clash, bur Elias spun out of it, and hit Drift Way for a near pinfall.
Elias headed to the top rope but Styles caught him, and then ran into a kick. Styles still managed a Pele kick to knock Elias off the top rope.
Elias hit a TKO for another near pinfall.
Frustrated, Elias told Styles he’s no longer Phenomenal and tried to set Styles up for a Fisherman’s Suplex, but Style fought out of it and hit a step up kick.
Styles then hit a Phenomenal Forearm for the win.
This was arguably the best match of the night, and WWE Raw Results hope it gives Elias a much deserved boost.
