Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and it looks like we’re in for a fun night of matches with three championship matches to help celebrate Christmas.
We’re looking forward to how these matches were set up and how they’re going to tie together, but until then, we’re going to grab some snacks before the 8 p.m. EST start time.

We’re sorry everyone. NFL football ran a little late and WWE Smackdown will be started a little later than normal following the post game show.
We’ll be here to keep you updated when the show starts.
We’re back with only a 10 minute delay.
Segment 1
Universal Championship Steel Cage Match – Roman Reigns (c) (w/Paul Heyman) vs. Kevin Owens
This started off as a back and forth match, with Owens hitting a frog splash for a near pinfall as we headed to commercial.
Segment 2
The match continued back and forth as it became a finishing fest, with Owens kicking out of a Superman Punch, and then Reigns kicking out of a Stunner as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
Owens had it won, but Jey Uso cut a hole in the cage and handcuffed Owens to the cage so Reigns could casually walk out and keep his championship.
Despite being a finisher fest, this was a great match. But since it was first up, it was obvious Reigns would retain even without knowing the spoilers.
Segment 4
Triple Threat Elimination Women’s Championship Match – Asuka and Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Bayley and Carmella vs. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair
Each competitor came out to share their views on who is the most impressive before Banks went after Carmella and Bayley got between them as we headed to commercial.
Segment 5
Another great match that started with each wrestlers showing what they can do before Bayley hit a Bayley to belly suplex on Asuka for a near pinfall as we headed to commercial.
Segment 6
A great back and forth saw Banks pin Bayley, and Flair pinned Belair following a Natural Selection for the win.
Jey Uso attacked Daniel Bryan on the way to the ring as we headed to commercial.
Segment 7
Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso
Bryan refused to let the match be called and Jey dominated early until Bryan hit a reverse super plex off the top rope as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
A back and forth struggle that made this another great match ended when Bryan ducked a superkick and hit a running knee for the win.
Segment 9
Intercontinental Championship Lumberjack Match – Sami Zayn (c) vs. Big E
As these matches tend to go, the heels at ringside beat up Big E when he was tossed to them, and Zayn hit a moonsault over the top rope as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
A good match that the lumberjacks made more entertaining ended with Big E hitting a Big Ending for the pin.
It’s great to see Big E as the Intercontinental Champion again, and we hope he holds it for a long time and takes it to a new level.
The matches tonight were great and WWE Smackdown Live Results enjoyed them. What did you think of the show?
