WWE Smackdown Results (12/11) – Sami Zayn Defeated Big E by Count Out

WWE Smackdown Results returned as Sami Zayn was ranting backstage when Big E approached him wearing his new shirt.

Zayn complained about that, and Big E handed him a shirt and said shirts were the last thing Zayn needed to worry about it.

Apollo Crews brought out a white tee shirt with a crude drawing of Zayn on it, and Zayn tried to rip it apart but he couldn’t with his injured hand.

Back from commercial, Zayn was in the ring going on about who he defeated to keep his Intercontinental Championship and still doesn’t get any respect.

He went on about not having any merchandise, though he doesn’t want it to feed the consumerism it breeds.

He mentioned how they honored Pat Patterson last week and still treat him like they do when Big E’s music played and he came out for their match.

    Sami Zayn vs. Big E

Zayn started it off by pointing out to Michael Cole that it’s a non-title match before he slowly climbed into the ring before he was counted out.

They locked up and Big E tossed him across the ring and Zayn rolled under the rope.

Zayn complained his hair was pulled as he climbed in, and Big E slapped on a side headlock and asked Zayn how it felt.

Zayn hit with a kick off the ropes, and Bug E locked him in an abdominal stretch but Zayn slipped out and hit a kick and a right hand.

Big E hit a reverse elbow off the ropes, and then hammered Zayn’s chest on the apron. He followed that with a splash on the apron as we headed to commercial.

    Zayn’s trickery

Back from commercial, Zayn was in control in the ring and choked Big E out on the middle ropes.

Zayn hit an elbow to Big E’s face, and then climbed up in the corner to his a few strikes, but Big E blocked a snapmare attempt.

Zayn then hit a knee to the nose for a pin attempt, and then slapped on a reverse chin lock.

Big E powered to his feet and threw Zayn off of him, but Zayn hung him up on the top rope and then hit an elbow off the middle rope.

Zayn stood over Big E and ran into a belly to belly suplex, and then two more before he gyrated above Zayn and hit a splash off the ropes.

Zayn rolled out of the ring and Big E started to follow him and Zayn headed back in and into a clothesline by Big E.

Zayn rolled him up for a near pinfall and then hit a crossbody that Big E rolled through and attempted the Big Ending, but Zayn raked his eyes.

Big E then hit a one armed slam and Zayn claimed his right hand was broken.

Zayn slapped Big E, and Big E chased him around the ring and then under the ring.

Zayn sipped out the other side with Big E holding onto his foot, and then kicked himself free and slipped into the ring so Big E was counted out.

These tactics are getting a little old, but it’s fun to see what tricks Zayn will come up with next.

    Belair one ups Bayley

Bayley was backstage and sent her well wished to Carmella for her championship match. She said she still runs the division and claimed Banks is the more over paid and overrated person aside from Bianca Belair.

As Bayley talked trash, Belair came up behind her and gave her grief how Bayley needs to worry about herself since she’s not cute and her hair looks dusty.

She then pulled out a record sheet that listed her not Bayley beating Natalya and she continued on as Bayley had enough and headed off.

    Carmella’s promise

Backstage, Braxton told Carmella that it looked like Banks turned the table on her, but Carmella said how she’s the one that made Banks relevant and she’s the next champion after she beats the stuffing out of Banks.
